It feels like the titanicus or the airborne game just lumped in to sell ranges people didn’t buy. It just appeals to me on a visceral level just because of how huge I was into micro machines as a kid

I think he’s talking about “Shroud of Night” not “Harrowmaster” because in Shroud, Kharn is more like Mr X or Nemesis, he’s an unstoppable pursuer and is only there to fight, he doesn’t care about the WE chaos lord, the Alphas, the EC scheme, the beacon or the Imperial Fists, he’s just there to party. It’s one of the best depictions of 40k Kharn, he even gets a Doomguy-style suit up. Like if you put “X Gon Give it to Ya” over his scene where he meets the Alpha Legion protags it would fit.
Devil’s Trappings was surprisingly good (and hilarious) they talk to each other like an Xbox 360 lobby and it’s very obvious that GW uses them to recapture the Rogue Trader-era space marines, that’s what the MM really are, it’s also the meta reason why the use old gear and are usually represented by a beakie.

I'm currently completing my first playthrough of Space Marine 2 and while I'm enjoying it the way they unceremoniously introduced the Thousand Sons without any real build up bugs me. Another thing that has me is out of all chaos factions to put in a long Tyranids they pick the most psychic heavy faction of all. Why not carry on with the khorne theme from the first game or even Alpha Legion?
I know Alpha Legion make use of daemons and psykers but it makes more sense then TS not being effected in any way by the by the Tyranids at all.

That is exactly what it is. No one was buying or playing either hardly, so lump them together and add space Marines and people bought in. Of course it also means half the aeronautica imperialis models didn't make it over because they don't want tau, eldar, orks, and necrons in a HH game. Since most of it is just simplified smaller versions of the HH stuff now, that's probably how they justify it. I do wonder if epic 40k would have actually done better than epic 30k just by having more faction variety in it.

I think most of their sales are from Imperium buys anyway so HH makes sense and it’s easier to transition over to 40k epic if sales of HH do well (as far as I know they didn’t)

It probably doesn't help that outside of tanks their pricing is shit. Oh you want 5 more bases of terminators? Get fucked buy more of the entire infantry boxes you don't want. Want a couple more deredeos? Too bad buy another entire support box when you weren't interested in 90% of the contents.
That may have been the strategy,but Im doubtful it worked. Whenever there's a new batch of releases for it at the local store(not GW) it sells but I've never seen anyone playing it or even really discussing it. There doesn't appear to be a big tournament scene for it and that's fine but there's also rarely and usually never events for it at big gaming events like nova open, lvo, the stupid championship weekend, etc and those events also have things for a lot of the other GW games . And general gaming conventions I've seen huge tables for boarding action(including 1 setup where they used the McFarlane figures so the scale was huge) combat patrol demos and so on... But nothing ever for legions imperialis.

Yeah I can agree with you there on Dread and Remembrancer, Remembrancer can be pretty entertaining outside his videos when he's on his podcast and the AA podcast. Luetin I have an odd feeling about ever since he started going "oh nothing is actually canon" that one video, but I think even he realized how stupid that is and hasn't repeated it. Speaking of Remembrancer, I'd like to recommend his friend Amber King. He's fucking hilarious when he wants to be outside his videos but damn I remember when he first started making content, his Argel Tal video was peak.
Fair, when it comes to the actual content he's usually a one man show. I rarely hear an obnoxious (sometimes) political quip from him but when he does it just gets a sigh from me and I hope it doesn't happen again in the video. Again if you like a creator, never fucking ever check places where they speak freely, it'll only end in heartbreak.

So it's exactly what I said it likely was. That part of the book was done before the other shit went public. He said "miniature" there isn't one, yet. If there is eventually, most people will just continue to not give a shit while the grifter channels rage to an audience that doesn't play, and GW sells a femstodes mini to a bunch of consoomers who probably won't even paint the stupid thing but make up for the loss in sales of custodes players who aren't interested.
Seriously, the flood of bitching about it is more annoying than the femstodes themselves at this point. Now we're going to be hearing about it for another 2 months as people try to make insane claims about GWs half year financial report, how the Cavill show still hasn't been finished yet, etc.

When the custodes codex dropped, they released a weird looking wide shield captain model, but it's definitely still a man.
The author himself probably doesn't give a shit either and wasn't paying attention, or maybe leaked that there's another model coming and like I said, people actually playing won't bother with it or will convert it back to looking male, and some stupid "allies" will buy it just for the sake of buying it. But I don't find any of that likely any time soon. They just announced the store anniversary models, so it's not that. I think there's a few more months to go for the new wh+ subscription model, but those are just proxies really without specific rules, so if that's the femstodes model it's a hell of a cop out(and would be funny). I don't think custodes have any finecast characters to replace alongside the release of a new book either, so that also doesn't seem like it would fit.
Either way, these fucks have given femstodes more air-time than GW themselves have at this point. And before someone tries to claim I'm "protecting the wokies" or whatever the fuck, no I don't want femstodes either. I just complained about GW's shitty business/pricing on the last page even. It's just that the shit gets to a point where it's obnoxious, especially when it's coming from fucking tourists at best.

There will never be another non-female HQ Custodes mini. Every single HQ going forward will be Female.
The basic units they can play off as either. But HQs are where they'll let the activist modelers do progressive portfolio pieces. (See also: Infinite Primaris Lieutenant Works, now with Tactical Rocks!)

I know it's 7 years ago but this looks exactly like how I'd imagine he looks.
I'd say the opposite unless you enjoy factories (or a straight up corpse grinding servitors that make Corpse-Starch if you're particularly unlucky or can't read the room regarding why people are willingly dumbing bodies in the street) smog, constant visible suffering, and an easy way to get a mouthful of said smog when a stray round breaks the aforementioned window.
