From what I could gather from his great-uncle's schizo ramblings, Michael died from a fent OD. And the poor guy lost his mom to suicide when he was only 7. I can't even imagine what must be going through Bruce's mind. Hope he can find his peace one day.

Listened to the first few minutes of Gosney's Jeff memorial.

Steve was talking initially that he didn't feel comfortable talking about Jeff's passing because they were only Internet friends and he didn't want to get weepy on stream.

His wife chimed in from off camera answering "No" to Gosney's rhetorical question whether "Internet friends are real friends?" because everyone is in the same boat that everyone they meet online is only an acquaintance avatar.

Then Gosney mentioned that he initially courted his Filipino online through "chat dates" 25 years ago before they married.

I recall previously feeling duped (and believe I posted about it here) that Gosney and Branca are only email friends who have no law school connections IRL when Andrew initially made it sound like they were old college buddies. Jeff was a beloved figure at Casahabano and amongst friends, known for his sharp mind, vibrant personality, and his passion as a true cigar aficionado. He was the dearest friend of Mike Conforme before Mike’s own passing from the same cardiac arrest.
