I thought and went to the Xitter of the artist. Turns out the degenerate artist is drawing sexual fetish shit about tall big titted women and tiny underage shota boys. Ah, that makes sense. I think the Sailor Moon commercial was trimmed for the compilation video so I couldn't actually see what they were advertising. I could see that it was something in a plastic case but I couldn't tell that it was eyedrops (the bottle inside the case doesn't look much like the bottles for any eyedrops I use).

Does anyone else remember the absolute disappointment that was Galilei Donna?

Like it had a really cool premise in which the descendants of Galileo himself have to find and protect some artifact called "Galileo Tesoro" that he had apparently discovered except no one knows where it's at, but the sisters felt compelled to because otherwise they were going to get assassinated from some organization that's looking for the Tesoro.

Oh, and it was created by Yasuomi Umetsu but literally no one talks about it when he's brought up because 11 episodes was too fucking short and it was rushed after the halfway point. No reason why everyone fumbled with and fucked it all up, but it was animated by A-1 Pictures, and their track record in not pissing themselves at the halfway point is pretty horrendous, and Aniplex are known to be control freaks.

I read the series, it is quite cute.

The female knight trains the boy to not be a shitter but the kid is still a kid.

The monster designa are also really fucking good, every time a battle happens, you know you see some cool monster

More seriously, thoughie, if something's only being kept alive by sex appeal and porn, isn't that a sign that it's not that good anymore and we should pull the plug? This is why the weeb stereotype is "goons to gross hentai while humping body pillows and staring at figurines of hypersexualized 14-year-olds", while the stereotype for any other sort of geek media consumer is "pathetic soyboy manchild" or "oddball who would rather spend time in fantasy worlds than go to parties". If the story, worldbuilding, and characters were actually good, "mature" anime would survive without sex appeal, but it can't because it's written at the level of children's media and hides behind violence and edginess to seem a lot smarter than it actually is. It speaks volumes that anime writers' live action pursuits tend to mainly be toku, which are mostly formulaic MOTW shows (not a bad thing, but I'm mentioning it since tranime faggots tend to hate that format) made for 6-year-olds to shamelessly advertise roleplaying toys. For God's sake, Madoka Magica is a freaking Kamen Rider Blade knockoff, yet weebs will say Kamen Rider is cheesy, childish, and repetitive (more like creepily sadistic, but I wouldn't expect any weeb to detect that) while Madoka Magica is le slow-burn psychological thriller heckin' shocking A24 kino. Just admit the writing in most "mature" anime is utter crap and the sole purpose of it is to introduce sameface waifus for the audience and creators to make fetish hentai of; if it was any better, it wouldn't have to target coomers so heavily.

The case here is that you are factually wrong. Fate/stay night started as an eroge in 2004 and it stayed like that for... 2 years. The original PC release was the only and single release with the sex scenes. The same goes for hollow. In 2006, when they released the ps2 version, it never had sex scenes anymore.

The fact that you are sperging about it is only because fans actually decided to archive that version into a ultimate patch that restore the sex scenes and allows you to choose it. But that is just the fan patch. But since 2006, every single release got these scenes cut.

It doesn't mean fate doesn't do sexy stuff later, but even adaptations usually shy away from it (the only two exceptions cases are the HF manga and films, since it was built that way)

Correct. The sex scenes were basically there because they didn't think Fate would sell

Then it did.

It sold massively. Then it got ported to Playstation, they took that out because lol, they didn't need Nasu's terribly written smut, and the rest is history. It is a story of a game that out grew its original genre.
