Didn't know about that singer's background, thanks for the info. For me it makes our cow Bob here all the funnier and pathetic - the extreme contrast between someone who became world famous with natural talent despite actual adversity, and some literal basement dweller with the beetus thinking he's some elite ubermensch. Bob is not elite. He's a 30 something obese white male who works an imaginary job online where he gets to do nothing but talk about MUH PAWP CULTURE but can't even do that well enough to have not been shitcanned three times at this point. Yeah, Rolf is famously super nice and humble in real life. It's why I never bought into the hate cult that surrounds him even when he's done some boneheaded shit in the past. Like, even the AVGN itself is kind of a neat idea, being based off how he reacted to games as a kid in old home movies. It's basically self parody of himself as a kid. It's unsurprising that so many people took it solely at face value and ran with it during the "angry reviewer" boom of the early 2010s turned out to be incredibly childish in real life.

Also, unsurprising that Bob likes AVGN for all the wrong reasons (woah it was revolutionary to see a guy criticizing bad NES games!) and claims to owe "atleast half [his] schtick" to him.
