Generally speaking I want the courts to be accessible to the public without a lot of high barriers because that's sometimes the courts are the only way the "little guy" has to avoid getting completely steamrolled. Unfortunately that also means that the courts have to put up with a lot of bullshit. Sometimes the lawsuits/motions etc are well intentioned but still bullshit at least from a legal perspective. Crusty Rusty on the other hand just uses the court as a weapon even after being told repeatedly that he's wrong/crazy/dumb. He just ignores it because "reasons". If he looked like any other average person he would have had a MUCH different reaction to his nonsense throughout his life.

I'm not particularly swayed. This is the product of treating a child with a tragic physical deformity like a speshial snowflake. Using kid-leather gloves and coddling him is what got us here, with a sprig of the Book of Mormon on the side for garnish. His thread is testament to it. His litigious history is testament to it. At the risk of derailing this thread any further - do we know why they never bothered to fix his harelip? They're apparently wealthy and my understanding is that the procedure isn't that expensive. Was it some kind of complication from the Moebius syndrome that made it unfeasible to do? I don't think we're on the right track here.

Based on what we know about Greer, such as it took him 5 years to complete a 2 year legal program (which he still sucks at), and moving to Nevada to pay for prostitutes, I now think the primary problem was him trying to become a lawyer instead of something like a welder.

I'm sure his family openly encouraged him to become a lawyer and probably put a lot of pressure on him to succeed. He should've instead entered a trade or something where he would be making more money doing tasks better suited to him, and get a wife that is mostly just after his money but does make him happy.

Plain and simple, he isn't suited for work in the legal industry. It's clear that all of the rules and nuances are beyond him, and he would never have gotten away with his few successes if he was representing someone instead of being pro se. Plus the legal industry is more of a social one, where even during school he would be discriminated against for his inability to do facial expressions or look left or right (if I'm reading the symptoms right for moebius). That could lead to severe self image issues, and a firm belief that no woman would touch him unless he pays for her. That compounds to a bitterness that leads to him suing everyone and lashing out at the world.

What he needs to do is try to get into a trade. Something where his coworkers don't really give a fuck what he looks or acts like as long as he can do the work, and the work is less interpersonal and more task oriented which he may find easier. That kind of work is fulfilling and pays well, which lets him build a level of self respect and sociability with people who aren't judgemental about him. If he's doing that then he may find it a little easier to date, or just be comfortable hanging out with other people - though he likely still has some fucked up quirks that will take time to iron out. Unfortunately the most ideal work has been taken over by illegals and Pajeets, but if he started searching job boards he might get lucky. Maybe if he can reconnect with his parents they can probably help him find work as a welder or something.

It would probably be better trying to figure out his skills and learning capacity and seeing what kind of jobs are available that he should apply to. But he's also likely in a dark places that causes him to consistently ruin his job interviews with mistakes like bitter outbursts.
