The music for Snow White is being done by the guys who did Dear Evan Hansen which is a choice.

I think the problem with Rachel is that she is incredibly outspoken and doesn't come off as charming in the way that the original actress of Snow White did.

She comes off as a brat and like a teenager from Tumblr will use her identity as a weapon in a way that nobody that's just up and coming should do

LMM makes the rounds for being incredibly liberal coded, but at the very least anybody can watch his stuff which makes him no different than anybody else in Hollywood.

yes, because black only colleges understand they're dealing with niggers and make sure to lower the demands a whole fucking lot. like they'll teach the subjects "well" but the final exam and mid term will just be quizing you on definitions that you'd have learned naturally by listening to the teacher, or the term papers will be completion based or other silly shit. you don't have the expectation of filling out multiple blue books with your essays. like they're still accredited but they really use prestige and other tactics besides academics to show why one would enjoy going to a HBCU. Think about every math class you took in college and how much easier they were when you weren't dealing with people with accents, blacks have a similar difficulty with everyone who isn't black basically. Its a huge culture thing, same way someone that knows spanish won't be able to understand say mexicans speaking spanish even if they know the words because they don't know the culture. if a spic asks in spanish where the wood polish is, you'd take them to the wrong place because you wouldn't know that they really mean the shiny liquid that tricks white people into thinking wood is polished.

its the same reason blacks are almost never shot by black woman police officers, they just can understand and de escalate in a way their white counterparts can't.

It also at least feels authentic to himself, and it's clear he has experience with actual theatre.

Disneys copies on the other hand are soulless imitations that sound awkward/bad, shitty flow, tell us nothing useful, and are made by people who aren't fun and have no idea how to be charming in any form.

I think one of the biggest misunderstandings of Disney and Hollywood is that LMM doesn't necessarily have a style he's essentially just a continuation of the rent generation

Rent is the thing that kind of introduced that contemporary radio sound to music and ever since then we've gotten things like in the heights, spring awakening, wicked, and eventually Hamilton which wrote off of that success.

All that's to say is that Disney is at least 20 years behind when it comes to Broadway and what it sounds like now and have no idea what to do with their music let alone anything they work on.

It doesn't really matter who they hire from the current Broadway scene because it means nothing if they don't have good animated directors to connect the music.

Encanto had a music written for it before there was even a proper script and Mufasa was the opposite so the fact that they turned out even semi okay it's kind of a miracle but indicative of what's wrong with Disney right now

They keep hiring all of these odd dei types to direct their films that have absolutely no skill when it comes to the art of Animation which often turns a potential good idea into a terrible one.

Walt historically was very nitpicky about who he chose to even handle his projects and that extended to his live action endeavors to the point that not even the nine old men can get off scotch free.

Nowadays, if somebody is trending on Twitter there is a 95% chance that they're going to get hired by Disney, be given a million dollars, and then told to make something out of nothing.
