This is what Elon always wanted. More than anything, he is an emotionally-stunted narcissist who only wants to hear compliments from people he believes he's inherently better than. He was willing to spend billions of dollars to accomplish that. You can argue he also did it to signal-boost politicians he likes (and so they owe him favors), and that may have been part of the idea, but even this boils down to him simply wanting more people to blow smoke up his ass, including said politicians. The incurable problem is he's a nitwit. When Twitter inevitably becomes a Durgasoft repository full of the least authentic content possible, he'll sell it to incompetent indians and go ruin something else purely to sate his own ego. It would be funny if half the country wasn't exactly as incapable of seeing what's going on as Elon, so you'll hear "well this is what happens when the right-wing gets their hands on something!" in perpetuity.

The only logic I could fathom to maintain it in an internally consistent way is that he doesn’t see America or any real “colonial” nation as being a true nation but rather an economic extraction zone. He may very well feel some sort of strong feeling about non-Whites in Europe (I doubt it tbh) but he feels, assuming this logic is what he’s operating under, that as America is not a true “Old World Nation” it has no ethnogenesis of a national group and so it is irrelevant if Americans are White or Indian.

He could, on the other hand, just be a raging drug addict with inconsistent beliefs. Take your pick.
