Holy shit, I thought my spending habits were bad. Lets see.
Shure 535 in ear monitors + 64 audio a18s in ear monitors with custom molds, around $3500
The 535's are a great, great pair of headphones, and not too badly priced at around 400$ MSRP. I use mine all the time and they've lasted me over 5 years of use and abuse to date and are still going strong. Worth every penny. But the a18s? For what? He doesn't mix and master music and those headphones are designed to very accurately reproduce the audible audio spectrum of which human voice uses a small percentage of unless singing. The cost/value ratio of a headset like this is completely and utterly lost on him.
I'd wager that he couldn't pickout which headset was which in a blind sound test unless he has exquisite ears.
Sony a7R4 and a 24mm Gay-master lens. It was introduced at $3500 which no doubt he paid that much, and an additional $1500 for the lens. $5,000.
Once again, a camera for photography of extremely high fidelity under any condition, permanently affixed in his studio to record him talking into his microphone and slobbering on bottles of booze... The ultimate quality of which is bottlenecked by streaming service bitrates and supported resolutions so the difference in video quality is imperceptible to most of his dwindling audience. A 4k UHD webcam would've cost him a tenth of the price and would've worked just as well for his application.
He paid scalpers $2200 to get this stupid graphics card.
I cant tell which card that is from the photo, but I'll assume its a 4090Ti based on his need to flex.
For what? Does he even game? Most games need only a fraction of the power of that card to run at the games highest settings. The few that do, he probably doesnt even play.
Does he render video or do CAD modelling (nope)? In which case he should've gone with an NVIDIA card more suitable to those tasks such as the RTX A series.
The sole, typical pc user counter argument is "he's future proofing" his rig, which falls flat on its face since each generation of computer hardware usually dwarfs the previous.
A fucking $3000 Wacom Cintiq to arrange stuff in OBS.
This nigger is off his fucking rocker.
All in all: a complete waste of money on shit he cant use to half of its potential, the quality of which is completely lost on him. Might as well buy a pack of official Supreme™ stickers at 500$ a sticker and stick them on everything, wife, hotwife, and children included. That'll be money equally well spent.
Great analysis as always Altistic.
