There are checks to power in the US government, even if several have been weakened courtesy of dipshits (W, Obama, etc.). Communism requires a totalitarian state to function at all, so there are no meaningful checks on that setup's power and no checks lead to severe human rights abuses.

I know that the technical definition of communism is "society without state, class, currency, whatever"

The best way to think of what the word really means is "A society void of property law"

communism=/= government control
socialism =/= Bernie Sandersism

communism = society without property law (including government property)
socialism = society where the community shares productive property (means of production)

You know how atheists complain about Christians trying to make their morality into law? They have a legit point IMO, but don't go far enough. All laws are is violent coercion.

By being born we signed a contract that says the morality of the people living on this area of land will be applied to you.

But lol why do you keep using that term "anarcho-communist"?
"anarcho-communism" and "anarcho-syndicalism" are literally just communism without the gradual fading away of the government that Marx and Engels talked about.

But, you're wrong in saying that there have never been places that could have been described as communist. Many Native tribes and other places could have been described that way that existed just a few hundred years ago.

There's never been a communism society with modern technology, yes. But there have been communist societies.

No it was socialist. Marxist socialism is a transitional stage in which the state nationalizes all industry for the benefit of the people. The ultimate goal is communism- a stateless, classless, ideal society. Most of what you hear about it is Western pro-capitalist propaganda.

Yeah, it was Western pro-capitalist propaganda that the USSR was full of people that called themselves communists, believed in communism, and were called communists by other people who called themselves communists.
