That was a push on one of the chans a long time ago. Replace any 'offensive' words with brand names. Like "The google got shot by the cops while stealing fried chicken". Makes it much harder to ban on platforms and creates a negative association.

Main issue there is "reddit" already has a negative connotation in normalfag spaces.

Hah, maybe "googling" is the preferable alternative to "doxxing". It has the advantage of being literally accurate as well as obfuscated behind a brand name.

I've been using "unmasking" for a few months, as it is the preferred term of Dong Long-Gone, journos and Cathedral Demons, and I'm going to keep doing that until they stop using it. I always thought true doxing involved finding personal info that you couldn't find using a simple Google search, since otherwise most people nowadays do 90% of the work for would-be doxers. In the same vein, I like the term deanonymize but most people online don't want to be anonymous anymore. Exposing/Receipts is extremely gay terminology used by Twitter trannies and "influencers", unmasking is similarly gay because it was coined by Brickface Jones. I can picture Sunshining being used in fearmongering articles written by journous saying something like "SUNSHINING IS THE NEW ALT-RIGHT DOGWHISTLE THAT ISN'T AS INNOCENT AS IT SOUNDS" which elevates its cool status, so it's winning out in my head right now.

Doxing is derived from “documenting” - what the second mentioned definition of “doxing” in the OP implies is literally “targeting someone through the use of their documented private information”.
