Imagine if you dedicated your entire life to keeping this website up despite being deplatformed, debanked and censored at every point and spending multiple years living in poverty in a third world country only to have to deal with a userbase of retarded entitled children all day who throw a fit over fucking stickers and not being able to use a forum like it's a Tiktok feed. The replies to this thread are unreal, if I was Null I would legit consider shutting it down at this point and just getting a different job. I don't know how he puts up with it at all.

To be fair this is a pretty common response from null to any user script. I remember one that was used to bypass an April fools joke that caused him to remove the joke early because he didn’t want people downloading the script. I think he stated it was something to do with not wanting people to download random scripts which might fuck up the average users pcs to avoid a temporary joke.

The reddit niggers are already inside the building. Look at any poster that's either calling for the ratings to be more reddit like or the people that are either over-hyping the removal as some kind of own on some nonexistent party in an almost ass kissing manner. Also the framing people pointing out other shit is broke and should probably get fixed as "OH YOU ACTUALLY SECRETLY WANT UPDOOTS!!!!" is that very specific reddity ass thing where they go around what you say and then ignore it and frame it like you said something else entirely. Hate that shit and always have.

The guy was just having fun, trying to do something out of personal interest and Null decides to break half the website out of spite rather than talk to the guy. We're trusting this guy with our money to engage in lawfare against perceived enemies?I don't like the thoughts I'm having right now about Josh and his decisions. Gonna go somewhere else for a bit.

I am disgusted by this reaction. I have no sympathy. You are using the site in the most retarded way if you track site activity by stickers. You are a braindead dopamine zombie if you are refreshing that fucking page every 20 seconds to see if anyone rated your posts dipshit.

I manage to navigate the entire site by using Watched Threads and just remembering off the top of my head which threads I care about, but I guess I'm some sort of Web1.0 anomaly and nobody knows how to use a fucking computer anymore, so following a trail of :winner: and ❤️ around a site with 20 fucking million posts like some digital Hansel and Gretel is just what the kids do these days instead of literally anything else.

There's other shit I want to deal with right now that doesn't involve pissing off the community over the most banal, asinine, retarded bullshit that I've ever, ever had to fucking see in 13 goddamn years, so I'll give you your dopamine sticker page back. I'm going to modify it so that the retard's scripts don't effectively re-create a Twitter Notifications page, again, which causes me to have to deal with sticker wars between retards every single day for the rest of my fucking life.

I am warning you, right now, that in 2025 I will be dedicating myself to the forum software rewrite. In this rewrite, there will be no sticker notifications. I am not programming this retarded bullshit in. If you are navigating this forum in this retard fucking way, you will not get to continue to do so after the rewrite. I know XenForo sucks, I know Watched Threads is finnicky, but I can't really overemphasize how every time I have to deal with people chimping out about stickers it compels violent ideation in me. It's so pathetic. Every time, watching people grovel for stickers, it sickens me.

At least now it makes sense. Why did people freak out for years over stickers and retards mass-negrating their posts? Because it literally disrupted the entire site for them. Jerkface420 rating all their posts 'dumb' one after the other was effectively like turning off Watched Threads, or disabling the forum index, for a normal user. Wow.
