Pretty sure Dustborn's shit is supposed to be genuine; I've seen enough woketards and similar genuinely act like the characters in the game are "super relatable and sympathetic", and... let's just say that the characters act a bit too much like some people I know. Besides, parody requires there to be some level of self-awareness, and as stated, Dustborn has absolutely none.

What's even more fucked is that the story does end up showcasing just how retarded the whole "anarchist philosophy" is. The whole "capitalism bad" schtick results in a bunch of hippies that can't sustain themselves having to make a lot of compromises just to live, the "la resistance" crap is plagued with issues and problems related to support, funding, manpower, etc., not to mention a bunch of other shit I can't even remember off the top of my head. And yet, despite all of this, the game and community still tries to insist wokeshit is the better idea, using right-wing strawmen - that still end up looking significantly more sympathetic than the MCs - as targets for whatever the game wants.

The game could've been a parody is there was any self-awareness; problem is, there was none.

There's that, as well as the MC hating robots not because of "prejudice", but because she can't manipulate them into being her slaves. Since she can't control them, that means she views them as evil.

Again, no self-awareness. It almost comes across as a parody, given the game openly admitteding that the woke are trying to eliminate/replace white people and MC's abuse of everyone including her friends. Also, the fact that her powers supposedly rely on her "empathy"; saying she has a lack of empathy for others would've worked significantly better... Wasn't the MC using her powers to steal from people constantly before the events of the game? Because I'm pretty sure that comes up at least once.

One of the most brilliant scenes I remember is the They Live fight scene where the two blue collar chads fight for way too long for an absolutely retarded reason instead of uniting to save the human race.

The character from Dustborn will steal from those blue collars and think she goes against the system.

Sometime in the last decades the media lost even the ability of telling even a basic rebellion story. It's never about self sacrifice because only men should kill themselves for a goal, and they must be in the back lines.

Hell, there was one wokeshit game that got released a while back that the devs outright stated that they didn't give the main villain a face because - I swear I'm not making this up - "people might find the main villain attractive".

Alternatively, the woke can only repeat the same outlandish talking points over and over, with little variation; i.e., all villains must be Trump, like in Guild Wars 2 or Back to the Dawn. Or vague statements about capitalism/"eat the rich".

Former childhood friend of mine started buying in to all the wokeshit, and started insisting that anyone that followed Trump was clearly "brainwashed". Someone had to call the cops on him once because he began screaming at people for not getting the Covid vaccine... even if said people had very legitimate health concerns about it. Notable in that he's a proud furry.

Another one was a tranny that kept wearing dresses to work and had some ridiculously edgy handle he insisted on being called by. Dangerhair was alright, admittedly, but I wasn't all that fond of the fag.

Had one fuck yesterday at my store, screeching about how Christians were "fascist" and how my store was supporting terrorism against Muslims or something, idk. I think he tried to post a video about it online.

There's at least a few more horror stories that I can't think of off the top of my head, currently.

I remember the game had a dream sequence or flashback talking about how the proto-language controlled reality itself. You, Pax, and the orphan defeat Axiom (who was rattling on about how there's only the objective truth) by channeling the Echoes into a super death scream or something.

Almost a shame, really; this game is so hilariously blatant on the political pandering that I kinda wanted to see these freaks dump more money in this thing just to watch them fail even harder. I actually live in a smaller town out in the south; I'm not going to give my exact location, but... let's just say that the idea of "smaller towns being immune to wokeshit" isn't all that true. I've been looking around at finding a new place to live, but there's nowhere to go, currently; most of the housing I've found has been taken over by immigrants and druggies, and I'm still job searching. That, and my family lives here, and they're needing some help.

@cybertoaster My friend wasn't always a furry, no; far as I can tell, he didn't really get into the fandom until around 2018 or so, actually. Even then, he never came across as one of the "gay" furfags; I think he might have a girlfriend, last I checked... though whether it's an actual "girl" is something I have yet to verify. I think the bullying had pushed him into the fandom more than anything, rather than the other way around; I remember overhearing him complain to the teachers a few times that one bully kept "rubbing his junk all over him" in the bathroom, so...

As for the store; I used to work at a Hobby Lobby, got a part-time position there for the holidays.
