Yeah you notice that. In my youth, clubs at home used to have different age limits for women and men, the age limit for girls was 18, but "you look like you could be" was enough, but the male age limit of 25 reqired ID to prove, and even then you might need to tip to pass face control.
Same with hireing, "looking for bar staff" at the same places means "you need to be female, young and pretty", if you're a guy your 10 years work experience and placing in IBA-competitions and flair tending videos on youtube mean shit.

Dunno if it's as easy now but it was then.

She also is studying abroad. If I was studying abroad I would not expect to have to do everything in a group like those people owe me anything. My original point was that there are few safer places for a fat pooner than a gay bar at that time, when most have already paired up or left.
