Many of the things I elaborated on Japan is gonna have (though not entirely) similar outcomes in South Korea as they share many similar aspects. South Korea was a hellscape after the Korean War while North Korea enjoys the benefits of it's support of the Soviet Union. Now it's nearly the exact opposite. South Korea is an illusion paradise while North Korea is an obvious hellscape. But the facade of South Korea is going to break and North Korea is going to be the one to pick up the pieces when they finally get out of their brutal dictatorship. Funny how North Korea tries to paint their country as perfect when South Korea did it much more professionally in a gruesome way. North Korea is a laughingstock. South Korea is a disturbed state.

South Korea is much more mindfucked by the US than Japan is. I present the following image with no comment. You have to extrapolate the meaning for yourself.

edit, it doesn't. something called "DDU-DU DDU-DU" by Blackpink has 2.07 billion views while Ayumi Hamasaki's "M" has only 29 million. Most viewed J-pop video I could think of was Babymetal's "Gimme Chocolate!!" which sits at only 177 million.

The more and more I learn about South Korea, the more I'm convinced that it's a horrendous dystopia that in a lot of ways worse than North Korea.

Every part of SK is astroturfed. It's extremely suspicious.
The derivative slop manhwa Solo Leveling gets shill threads on /a/, the basically-porn slop gacha Blue Archive gets shill artists to advertise, etc, etc, etc
For some fucking reason, Blue Archive is now on official pamphlets for Comiket (the big semiannual anime/manga/gaming/etc cultural Japanese event), overtaking decades of dominance from the previous franchise "face" of Comiket. It's like if one day you woke up and everyone around you started speaking French and nobody thought it was strange.
