Live updates: Brush fire burns in Pacific Palisades as Santa Ana winds blast Southern California - Live video at link

Dont wanna powerlevel but its bad right now and Im about 30 mins from evac. Family is freaking out. 911 isent responding anymore its just a recorded message, you guys have no idea what is outside my window right now, its getting harder to breathe easily
Praying for you my kiwifren. I wish this wasn’t happening.

I don't suppose it would do any good to prepare by having a generator, a big water tank in your backyard, and a few of those 360' yard sprinklers on your roof hosing down the house itself until the genny or the water ran out?

Seem to remember that Commiefornia doesn't allow people to store water or somesuch bullshit.
I would recommend using a battery bank, instead of a generator due to the fuel storage and carbon monoxide issue, to run the pump. Connect the suction to the swimming pool and time the spraying. Perhaps, every 15 minutes the pump runs for about 10 minutes then rests for another 15 minutes to conserve water.

❤️❤️❤️

I hated wildfires when I lived out west. Even if you're evac out of an abundance of caution, you'll feel soooo much better if you can get away from the smoke. I lived through a week+ long inversion and istg the entire time I had background anxiety from the aqi being so high. Not being able to breathe properly sets off the signal of imminent danger of death even if you're relatively safe.

Update as of 2210 PST:

>New Fire has broken out.

Four active fires.
Regional fire department resources are exhausted and current calls are being backlogged.
Winds expected to get worse and spread embers everywhere.
Tamarack Fire has 5 Freeway jammed and is hampering whatever fire response is left.

You may want to leave now.
Shit is hitting the fan in Los Angeles. (see below)

The fire department probably is too stretched to respond if you get into trouble.

Update as of 2228 PST

> Another new fire has broken out.

FIVE active fires now.

Per Agenda Free TV,

LAFD is pulling out of suburbs due to conditions being too intense. +

Do they not do brushland cleanup in California, what the fuck? Theres a fire there like every day in California because I guess the firemen are only there to look hot because theyre all gay.
This has been a problem for decades to the point that lots of states won't lend them any help when (and it IS when) a massive wildfire hits the state.

You don't hear about wildfires happening at the same frequency in Oregon or Nevada for a reason.

Wtf. There was a mandatory evacuation. Why are you still at your house? This had better be a larp

better use the last of your bandwidth to post whats outside your window, you gotta cash in the insane amount of horror reacts you'll get!

Sylmar fire (now Hurst Fire) near the 5 is growing fast with an evacuation zone from the hospital to the 14 split. If this crawls up the 5 into Angeles Forest and Santa Clarita we’re looking at a catastrophic disaster.

ETA: The 5 is open and clear and you should use it to get out if you are in Sylmar. North past Grapevine will be the safest hideout.

Firefighting aircraft are grounded due to wind and nighttime visibility.

Cars that blocked the road up to the canyons are now being bulldozed aside.
I hate these fucking scum. They didn't even consider what was going on, they just left their luxury vehicles behind, didn't even consider just leaving the keys in them. Absolute vermin. 1% scum.
