Did they actually send a non-negligible amount of equipment, are they currently having any equipment shortages, and is it that precise equipment they sent? Or is it some twitter fag trying to connect unrelated dots trying to manipulate you? Exercise some critical thinking

Just thought I'd give the Kiwis a bit of context as an apparent resident of hell. The only thing "historic" about this fire is the monetary cost and maybe the windspeeds, as far as acreage goes it's tiny compared to the monster fires we've had in our forests. Here's the historic Calfire map:

You can see the current fire outlined in red on the bottom left, everything else in gray and white are past fires

In my opinion the damage has already been done. A huge amount of the Angeles National Forest has been burned in the last decade. There are hiking trails I went on as a teenager that probably don't exist anymore because of fires and subsequent landslides. Some parts of the forest are essentially permanently closed because human activity will further ruin the environment. I'm not sure if there's a point to this post but it's upsetting that the only reason everyone knows about this fire is because rich people are losing their McMansions. If this was just another Angeles Forest fire it'd be a 5 minute spectacle in the broadcast and nothing more

Sad

>LA puts less money into fire fighting preparedness
>Puts over a billion into fighting homelessness
>More homeless than ever
>No water reservoirs, no fire preparedness done
>lets flammable brush build up because muh environment
>don't arrest any criminals or lock up crazies
>Mayor fucks off to Africa to give money to Africans
>Hobos start fires in the brush
>LA goes on fire with no way to stop it

Now, are they just retarded or did they actually intend it all to burn down?
Both tbh. People voted to literally spend money on water reservoirs and 0 have been built among 100 other things passed and never done. Anytime anything gets passed in CA that the dem supermajority doesn't want they either just don't do it or take it to the courts to get it reversed.

Literally just had record rainfall in the last year or so but they have 0 ways to capture the rain even though billions are put aside to fix the issue so all they get from that rainfall is flooding when it happens and then overgrowth and shit after the fact. The people have been fucking begging them to deal with this issue for decades but it's just more important to focus on pushing white dudes out of firefighting and cut the budget. They also sent "excess" firefighting equipment to ukraine I mean you can't make this shit up.

Keep in mind everyone knew this was coming. I had friends who live in high wind warning places asking me if I had seen anything so I go check for them and there was a week long warning for power outages and potential fires with super high winds but yet the city had 0 prep for egress of people or strategies to get people out of the city early.

They had no plan on how to actually fight the fire, didn't deploy national guard until an hour ago and had no reserve water prepared and this will happen more times this year and the next until frankly you remove politicians there by force or federalize the state and start over.

The will of the people can only go so far when newscum and friends just ignores it and would rather do photo ops.

I don't think there has ever been a more perfect visual demonstration of the failure of liberal policies.

The shits there. But it's been depleted by nigger (and for some reason Slavic) mollycoddling

What is the likely effect on the wildlife of the area, please, knowledgeable people. I remember the effect of the apocalyptic fires a few years back in Australia being an absolute catastrophe for a number of species.
I'm not scientist but I think fire kills most wildlife.

That is a disgusting way to think about your fellow countryman
Those that live in LA in particular I would struggle to call human beings, let alone my fellow "countrymen".
Maybe prayers and condolences would be nice to people outside LA, as if that will help them, but to those in the city itself? Nah, I'm thinking it's Sodom time, do San Francisco next so we can call it "Gomorrah".

I tell you what, them raccoons are either swimming in trash cans or drowning in smog. There is no in-between

Everything else is dead though.
