Live updates: Brush fire burns in Pacific Palisades as Santa Ana winds blast Southern California - Live video at link

Oh and for those curious, here are a couple areas from the big fires.

I've gone out to some of the spots a couple times. It really does feel genuinely cursed, there's absolutely no sound of any animal or insect for miles in these spots. Some still have the dirt charred black in an almost perfect circle.

Sorry for shitting up the thread with unrelated history, fires are extremely important here so it's interesting to me to compare the fuck ups and how similar they end up. Here's hoping you don't have our disaster, I think it was ranked #4 for the worst in us history? But it may have been knocked down by a lot since I last checked like.... 10 years ago.
If you invite a wild animal into your home, you shouldn't be surprised if it shits everywhere or tries to bite you. If it breaks into your home, you should chase it out or otherwise make it leave, as soon as possible. Same logic applies here, this is the fate of every single place in US that will accept Californians, eventually.
The chief fire faggot:
>W..what was great... if there was a positive thing from yesterday is we were preparing for a wind event for multiple days in advance of what happened last night. We were prepared for a wind event as well as a possible brush fire.

You fuckers have this thing ZERO percent contained, water hydrants not working, your backup aerial solution fucked because of the wind; and yet you still try to spin this as some kind of win. This is not any kind of a win, and the smiling faggot should have been beaten on the spot.
HEY
In this thread, we APPRECIATE out local fire department that has the situation 0% under control! Don't be rude!

Usually yes, but like I said, some of these burned so hot that seeds didn't even survive. Imagine a place that burned in the 80s that in 2025 doesn't have grass still, there are actual patches like that!

This is the problem with fire suppression. When you suppress wildfires for too long, fuel builds up and causes the fires to burn unnaturally hot. We need to either let things burn regularly or remove the excess fuel

Serious question: how likely are we looking at a (or multiple) fire(s) that spreads out of LA county and into the neighbouring ones?
LA County is fucking huge, like 4000 square miles. But we got to keep in mind the fires are at the northern tip of LA city, but west on the county lines. So yeah, the borders are right there to be jumped across. mid way up to the left.

Didn't some dumbass on an ATV go and fuck with the salmon spawning grounds last year as well?
Ugh don't remind me. Or the faggot artist that put OIL PAINTS IN MOUNT SAINT HELENS 5 YEARS AGO!
Or the guy who jumped in the yellowstone hot pools to save a dog and died in minutes.
Or the retarded kids that took a bison calf in their car "because it looked cold", resulting in a ranger shooting it point blank in front of them because it wouldn't be accepted back.
Or the retards who try to post with bison.

How the fuck do you even steal a fire hydrant, let alone hundreds?
What do "all the normal" people from Cali have to say about this? You really think *this* is worth saving?

It's bolted down to a flange. Literally just need to unscrew the bolts, if they aren't buried in the dirt. They're heavy as fuck too, probably could get some money for scrap. Now how you do it without getting your head blown off from the water pressure shooting the fucking thing out of the ground is beyond me. You could open it up before unbolting but, I don't think that would relieve a lot of the pressure behind those bolts. Still stupid as fuck as I would imagine imagine a scrapyard would instantly call the cops.

Wishing fire death on fellow Americans is
Quite sick. I never felt anyone particularly should die in a hurricane; drown trying to survive or be burnt to death. Seeing people come into the thread and give thanks to the destruction is pretty sick.
You just don't get it. That infant that just burnt to death in its crib while the hot air burnt the tissues in its lungs like bacon in an air fryer, totally had it coming. It's geographic location makes me know with 100% accuracy that 18 years from now they will vote for a political party that I don't like. So I hope they all die.

Well there's already been a handful of murders towards out of staters, I'm sure it's only time at this rate. Maybe we'll get lucky and the indians will do it to get back at whitey. Govt won't do shit about it if they do.

I’m not interested in getting into the argument over whether California burning is based or not because we’ll go in circles forever, but it does say a lot about where we’re at. That kinship I feel with my countrymen just for sharing this beautiful chunk of land with me is wearing very, very thin.
40 years of Californians celebrating poor areas being destroyed by natural disasters has led to the current situation where most of America is rooting for their total immolation. The world should feel for California the way Californians feel for Alabama. Make fun of them for how they vote and mock their gods for not saving them.

What is it with Americans and trying to stop fires that burn away undesirable shit? Undergrowth is out of control in this country's forests; it's supposed to be naturally culled by fire every once in a while. Same with this hive of pedophiles. Nature has deemed it worthy of destruction. Let it burn.
They are a weak and demoralized people. They have been brainwashed for generations by their media to believe in this bullshit hero morality that all death is evil, when in reality it's not. It's just a unavoidable and very necessary part of nature, that is can be a source for great good when done to the right people. They may joke about TND, TTD and TKD but really when shit gets real and somebody gets killed, they immediately fall to their knees, to their default programming, groveling that they may have hated x but would never wish harm on x cause they are such morally good, god fearing person. When in reality not just x needs to die but also everyone from a to z, plus another couple of hundred people for good measure, before things can start improving at all, and if they want to make things truly great again, millions of undesirebles, nay billions (granted most of those are hindus, and they aren't really people lets be honest, even if you believe they are) must be exterminated for the betterment of this beautiful planet. But then again, sheep probably aren't too receptive to the idea that the wolves that eat them, are actually a net benefit for them cause it takes the weak and the elderly.

YOU WERE WRONG, THEY GAVE UP AND LEFT WAS NOT STAGING AREA
Or they got sent elsewhere? I think you seem to have some misconceptions on how large scale responses work. And might also be off your meds. The communications probably went something like this. "Umm Chief the Bank we're parked next to is on fire. What do you want us to do?" "Park somewhere else. We ain't got no water"
