Just because he's not doing it for genuine reasons doesn't mean he's not doing it.
Begging the question; he's not doing it just because he says he's doing it.
Meta's most recent TOS update was from December 3, 2024. I'd be happy to learn I'm incorrect, but I think the changes could be fairly and completely summarized as:
1. Meta admits to using AI and machine learning and doesn't offer a way to opt-out your content's use for training these systems.
2. While users retain ownership of their content, the broad license Meta grants itself allows them to use it in ways that might not be in your best interest, including repurposing your photos or videos for their marketing or AI training, competing with or devaluing your original work.
3. By agreeing to updated terms, users give Meta the power to further change the rules anytime they wish.
Nothing in there suggests any change in corporate mission.
You know what this reminds me of? The holodomor, when jews tried to completely censor the news of their genocide from the rest of the world. It appears they're actively, consciously, intentionally, willfully preparing to commit further genocide.
