I was in my last semester of college when the 1994 Northridge Earthquake happened, and giggled when I told my roommate that I had heard that the epicenter was in the neighborhood where, at least at the time, most American pornography was produced. She was less amused.

Are you sure she's not near some other park? If she's near MacArthur, she won't have any trouble getting out, but she doesn't really need to aside from finding the whole situation too much to deal with and wanting to put the city in her rearview mirror.

She's between McArthur Park and Koreatown and that's all I can really say without PL'ing too much. She just gave me an update the evacuation warnings are still randomly being sent out but they're doing ok. She said they were able to see the sun pretty clearly today, so fingers crossed that's a good sign. Thanks for the concern.

She has mentioned that random arson and explosions have been 'caused by junkies and hobos in years past. Some of it pretty close to her apartment. That's such a wild thing to me that fucking junkies would 'cause fires like this.

These threads move so fast, holy crap.
