It's a very common tactic that the alphabet people have been using for some years now. You take a very fringe situation. In this case, there the possibility of it being Sweyer syndrome, which is a form of intersex disorder. It's very tiresome really because it only takes like 15 minutes of reading to know this is a generic abnormality and effects like only 1 in 80,000. I.E. A rare abnormality, not a third gender or transgenderism.
To put it simply, the boxer genetically is a male who's junk never developed properly. His body did actually go through a semi-puberty leading to testosterone production in the adrenal gland, possibly an over production, and masculinization of the body. The ovaries are very likely not even there or just never developed into anything.
It's an unfortunately generic mutation and I do feel bad for the boxer for getting screwed like that. From what I've researched it can very likely lead to severe health issues later in life.
Of course I'm mostly just running with the assumption that this person actually has Sweyer syndrome and this isn't just some cover tactic to hide the real truth from the public. Which will never be revealed because the narrative most be maintained.
I'm not surprised Max is ignorant enough to take that information and act like it's some huge revelation without a single thought deeper than surface level regarding the discussion.
