Nexpo/YT Horror Channels - Do they all suck

Circles aren't scary, if anything they might be the least scary geometric shape.
Idk, if you got a cluster of those small holes, together that can be really freaky. Then again, it might be because of a dream I had recently.

Essentially some kind of cordyceps-like disease where a bunch of white worms sprout out of holes in your skin.

There was also a really obscure but freaky manga about some girl getting holes in her arm and stuffing things in them but it's essentially like sex, I guess and she gets more holes and gets more into stuffing them until she's just a mass of holed flesh with a girl's head attached.
Goodness, she looks like the potential shitty Disney live-action remake of Lewis from Meet The Robinsons.

And I should slap myself for that because I adore that movie.
I'm not surprised she pooned out, but I am surprised she is going to be released. Just goes to show her mental health barely improved since she now thinks she is a tranny.
Maybe they released her because she is a tranny now. It's kinda sad to read the literal first line of the article that clearly states that he family of the victim was very much against this.

Even the comments on the article are very against this.

I'm sure the family of her next victim will have plenty of grounds to sue for wrongful death.

That's a well-known phobia known as Trypophobia. The tl;dr is that, just like you said, it may be associated with disease and dangerous animals

Oh! I thought it was a false thing because everyone and their dog claimed to have it at one point but looking at the small clusters would make anyone uncomfortable.

I don't think anyone has posted this video yet:

It's just someone walking around random places at night. I'm really scared, you guys.

I think the 'My House' one was one of the few that genuinely pulled something off by routinely fucking with the Player

This might be shocking to all of you, but I don't think wandering around a Doom map is scary. Actually, I do, but only when I'm playing E1M4. It's baffling how zoomers have read and watched so few horror stories and films that they think an empty mall is scary.

Anyone watch 'Midnight'? I get his videos in my recommendations every now and then, and it's always the most basic shit horror treated with the 'OH MAY GOD, DIS IS THE MOST STURBIN' THING OF ALL TIME' brush. Like, I get there's probably not a lot you can do with the Doom Engine (I think the 'My House' one was one of the few that genuinely pulled something off by routinely fucking with the Player), but 90% of this guys' video is him whisper yelling into the mic about how he's shitting his pants because the map hasn't thrown any enemies at him yet.
I remember getting irritated at his videos because he would constantly just needlessly interject Spanish sentences into his video. Like I get, you're Mexican, now speak English if you are making an English video for an English speaking audience.

"This House" is honestly a pretty cool enough lil project that has eons more substenance than the average critically acclaimed walking sim even if its not actually that deep, either technically or story wise

I hate him because he was one of the faggots who bullied people rightfully complaining about Doom Eternal's terrible platforming sections.
He and the Doom community spammed "GET GOOD" even when it came to players who knew what they were doing but were stuck because of the dogshit jumping sections near the end.
Also like you said, either speak english or spanish, stop mixing the two together like a taco-tard.

I'm pretty sure it was just Tumblrites playing up how uncomfortable stuff like that made them feel, since teenage girls have a habit of exaggerating. I remember seeing threads about it.

The CGI is impressive and the videos remind me of when I used to night ghoul with my friends on campouts as a teen. We'd just walk around with our cheap flashlights and shoot the shit with nothing but the wind to keep us company. Those were simpler times and it's a comfy feeling looking back to those days.

But it's more nostalgia than horror though lmao.

Think it is common because if you ever saw yourself covered in holes historically, youre fucked eaten from the inside. Hole like fixtures on your walls? Infestation of insects. It just ties into disease and parasites/disease causing pests. Honestly I get a full body reaction to see that shit, genuinely unnerving. Im terrified of disease.

This is absolutely true. While there's some that don't like the ai generated neighborhood ones, most of them invoke a feeling of peace, or nostalgia.
The best ones are a comfy and nostalgia into a sort of uncanny valley of hyper-normalization.

I like them but they definitely did get over played when it became "Does that room not have windows?! Oh god, I'm going INSANEEEEEEE!!!"

Since we're on the topic of trypophobia, here's a (w)hole video that makes use of it.
Hah I see what you did there.

Dad jokes aside, new Dire Trip. Another faggot school shooter who became obsessed with guns and school shooters.
It's almost a stereotype at this fucking point. The guy wasn't even subtle about how fucked in the head he was. If the red flags were redder, they'd be banners for a communist parade.

Speaking of SS fags, Documenting Evil is doing a series on shooters at the moment. It never crossed my mind but apparently he uses an AI voice, by his own admission.

And that it is what it is. It makes the Patreon reads amusing because he doesn't adjust the voice so it becomes slightly threatening and ominous.

Yeah, a lot of them can be pretty tryhard, especially with the monsters. Just chill and enjoy the melancholy.

It's also my main gripe with liminal space games as they usually fall into two camps:
  • Walking Sim where you take a tour of the unreal asset store
  • "horror" game where you are running away from goofy looking monsters while solving simple puzzles.
Death Stranding and Pacific Drive really hits that sweet spot of being quiet and somber enough to let the loneliness wash over me (while having some tense bits) and has enough mechanics and objectives to keep me engaged with the game.

Goodness, reminds me of the game Inside.
It was made by the same people who made Limbo but I prefer Inside for the industrial, dystopian and very isolated feeling you get while playing.

It's particularly why I adore games like Little Nightmares. BTW fuck the sequel and that creepy as fuck hospital. Not because of Dr. Ethan Ralph crawling on the ceiling but the section with the dolls. UGH.

The forest was also super unnerving.
