The mission tree system was the big issue for EU4, in my opinion. It really widened the gap between nations that have custom content and nations that don't, with the latter feeling extremely barren in comparison. So everyone would whine and demand that the areas they want to play in should have their own mission trees, and saw any trees going to other areas as taking away development resources that could've been put towards theirs. The people that wanted focus outside of Europe would whine about Eurocentrism and insist their nation that spent the entire period getting stomped should get special focus, and the people who wanted focus on Europe would whine about how "no-one gives a fuck about random tribes in Africa".I never got the whole eurocentric argument for paradox games. For example, in Eu4 there plenty of content, though quality and quantity may very for pretty much the rest of the world, include the new world. It does this while also focuses on europe, particularly western europe and their colonialism and other events like the reformation. Though whether focusing on areas like random migratory natives for even a single dlc pack is worth it is up to you. And sure paradox focuses on other areas might be pushback form the "le eu4 is eurocentric" crowd but the content is there.

Muslims are also too underpowered post-Holy Fury. Christians always blob into North Africa in any start after 1066, the big states always have 10k levies minimum (One thing CK2 did right was nerf levy sizes), and once a crusade gets called whatever poor Muslim is the target faces an immediate shitstrom of 60k levies at minimum gunning for them.It depends, in certain games I've seen the HRE blob and blob while in others I've seen the Abbasids collapse into a million pieces. The decadence mechanic for muslims doesn't result in too many collapses, anyways.
yea i noticed south italy and germany rape tunis and libya, but never algeria for some reason. and the pope has a 50/50 chance of picking either egypt or jerusalem for the first crusade, which either means the muslims can still bounce back or they'll get BTFOed depending on which target is chosenMuslims are also too underpowered post-Holy Fury. It's especially awful because even if all the Muslims join the defender, they are still outnumbered by a good amount. The update really helped the crusades mechanic, but it really should have implemented the same mechanics for the Muslims as well. It's gotten to the point that I just give up on the 1066 start because the HRE will turn North Africa into a German colony in about 50 years.
Also Paradox never fixed the bug that enabled HRE kingdom titular titles in the 1066 start, when those were only ever intended for the start with Otto the Great.
And if the Pope picks Jerusalem, Egypt is the next target anyways. It makes me miss the good old days when there were emndless jihads and crusades over exclusively Jerusalem and holding the fucking title was a literal death sentence. I'm hoping to find a mod that limits holy wars across the med, already running a few that break checksum so not like I'll be running any ironman games in the near future.yea i noticed south italy and germany rape tunis and libya, but never algeria for some reason. and the pope has a 50/50 chance of picking either egypt or jerusalem for the first crusade, which either means the muslims can still bounce back or they'll get BTFOed depending on which target is chosen
Somewhat historically actually, the Norman Kingdom of Africa was a thing. The big problems are that Morocco is not the powerhouse it should be (especially as the Sahel slave/gold trade is completely unrepresented), Egypt rarely goes westwards and CK2's shortcomings about supply and warfare in general. It's a bit of a tragedy because the basic combat frame of CK2's is actually pretty involved and interesting (and not just two static lines) and they never once tried to improve it, peace deals or supply.Christians always blob into North Africa in any start after 1066,
Someone should show PinkPanzer this. Do you think he will be happy to see this? The New Order Rises Again Is Now Public!

*Known issues
-Total OFN victory during the South African war is bugged
-Changing to air view from the bottom right sidebar sometimes crashes the game
-Attempting to create a new air group crashes the game
-Conservative coup for Speer and militarist coup for goering can lock Germany out of regaining control of the RKs
-The Diplomacy country list tab is broken
-Country selection screen takes longer than usual to load
-Some gfx does not appear properly in the linux version of hoi4
-ILG doesn't have an opening screen (will add soon)

No, which is all the more reason to throw it in his face.Someone should show PinkPanzer this. Do you think he will be happy to see this?
They fixed it by making the AI so retarded in CK3 that I've never seen a successful crusade happen. The update really helped the crusades mechanic, but it really should have implemented the same mechanics for the Muslims as well.
Considering it's built from an earlier version of the mod and the mod's creators, there was a missed opportunity to call it something like "The New Order: Original Rise" to have the acronym be an anagram of troon. The New Order Rises Again

Props though, I only have experience modding CK2 when I played it a few years back, but always found Paradox's engine to be quite fickle or at least that version of it at the time.
Seriously, dude, this is good work. In a month you, by yourself in your spare time, have done more for TNO than the "official" dev team! Did you put this on the Steam Workshop? The New Order Rises Again Is Now Public!

The fact you made TNO back into it's glory days faster than the TrooNO devs releases updates speaks volumes. Great work on you, buddy! The New Order Rises Again Is Now Public!

We've sure come a long way to get to this moment.TNO was what brought me to the farms years ago on my old account, back when Slackjawedman and Gone Ham were dunking on the troons. It's surreal to see a tranny free version. Funny what you can do when you don't have a bunch of faggots weighing you down. Very nice.
