Stuff like this reminds me why I ever pop into those generals from time to time.
This post is nonsense. A true Dionysian would be free. He would live without worry and delight in the beauty of mystery and the allure of tragedy. He would experience life and emotion far deeper than any other, for he has a strong connection to the true nature of the universe. The Dionysian is a true
Übermensch, one who stands apart from all others, for he is truly free from the shackles of the empty promise, the Apollonian.
Angel Dust is a slave, both figuratively and literally. He needs others to make judgements for him, while a Dionysian needs only himself. Anthony takes no pleasure in the arts, or of nature itself. He drowns himself in tranquilizers and stimulants to block out any experience of the universe. He cannot even be called an Apollian, for he has no interest, no capacity, in the scientific and theoretical arts.
Anyone who has read
The Birth of Tragedy will tell you that only the most blind follower of the most National Socialist corrupted rendition of Nietzsche will suggest that a dog like Angel Dust would be a Dionysian. Abominable.
The original poster is correct however, in one sense. There is a true Dionysian in Hazbin Hotel. Dare I say, an Ubermensch. The character I am referring to would be, of course, Adam. Adam is a master of music, the most Dionysian of arts. He experiences emotion deeper than anyone else and delights in the aspects of nature, as shown with his relationship with his lieutenant, Lute. Of course, we cannot forget that he is unconstrained - unchallenged by anyone. Not even his direct "superior" could control him in any way. He makes his own moral judgements for he is the master of will.
