I don't even think it's braincell-death from drugs and listening to Meigh talk for 6 months. I think Digi is a self-saboteur of the highest order. As soon as one of his projects starts to get some traction, he blows it all up. I believe he does this because he fears success. Success means having to admit when you're wrong, be a team player, hit your deadlines, and actually do work instead of sleeping till 2 pm every day. He'll start something, it will gain (sometimes improbable) amounts of fans and attention, then he'll get spooked, and switch to something else - usually something that almost seems designed to fail (oh, you want anime analysis videos? Best I can do is deranged rambling about a Myers-Briggs ripoff I call "neurotypes"! Oh, people somehow like my rambling about neurotypes and want more of it? Well shit, best I can do is terrible rap? What, people actually want my terrible rap? Well, shit um, here's even worse rap! And on, and on).
It does seem like he's finally succeeded in running away from success and work, but now he's broke, so he's having to stumble back towards it.
You can even see this pattern at work in his gender hobby. He went all in at first, makeup and a fake voice, people actually started to respond to it, he got spooked, now he's a stubbled hobo with natural hair.
I think the strangest part is that he finds a few fans and paypigs for whatever he does.
