There are no good RU classic SS13 servers left, if they ever existed to begin with (I guess Animus was but I wasn't around for it and it had totalitarian admins anyway).

The current active SS13 RU servers are as follows:

Tau Ceti is, ironically, the most okay RU server out there despite originally being hated for being a dumb kiddie server by the broader community. Their codebase is fairly unique and the players are retarded but generally alright bar for the absolutely abhorrent shitsec, but the biggest turn off for me that made me quit it was BAY SKILLS.
It cannot be understated how deeply cancerous and anti-fun this retarded system is. Forget tiding, forget personal IC beefs and forget doing literally anything outside of jobbying because the constant fucking 10 TO 20 SECOND PROGRESS BARS appearing for the most mundane and basic actions like using a console that's not related to your job or unscrewing something will very quickly make you want to unleash that gamer rage on your keyboard.

You know how Ssethtide is often blamed for the total pozzification of the broader SS13 due to a massive influx of pozzed newfags into a very niche game? LOL forget that. Imagine Sseth but instead of being a lulzy "game reviewer" he's actually an average low-effort gameplay youtuber. Now imagine him discovering SS13 and subsequently having his own server to play on. Now imagine him never moving on from this game and CONSTANTLY STREAMING IT ON TWITCH. Now imagine him having a few butt buddies by his side to play the game with. Now you know why these servers are at the top of the hub 24/7.
The biggest serves run modern Paracode (garbage) and there's also one running TG code (utter garbage). In order to play on any of their servers you are required to verify your Discord account. Yes, there are no forums and everything gets handled via one the worst platforms on teh modern internetz. 60-70% of players are degenerate furfags of the 'pisscord circlejerking' kind, the rest are braindead 12 year olds. Fairly easy to grief though.

Chaotic Onyx: de-facto the current successor to Animus Station, although it has nothing common with it. Baycode, progressive traitors lol, MRP and antags are not a license to grief despite the "Chaotic" in the name. Okay players, awful jannies, borderline tranny femstatics and >discord. Is rather dead.

White Dream is TG code so I've never even bothered enough to check it out.

ERP servers are not unique or special in their degenerate faggotry so they are not included. Lifeweb, CEV Eris and other SS13 offshoot games are not classic SS13 so they are not included as well.

That's basically all there is. As you can see it's just a dry general summary that lacks drama, lolcows or basically any happenings because I haven't played on any of these in months if not years as I don't find them entertaining enough to bother with. The info provided might also be outdated for the same reason.

I can remember the very early day of Опух, when the code was literally falling apart as we were playing. They simply moved Boxstation to the Torchcode and didnt bother making it work, atmos was fucked up, medicine/damage was fucked up, and the emergency shuttle had to be broken into at the end of every shift because it refused to dock (and since it's baycode, they are botled shut by default). The only fun part I can remember is traitor's pistol being overpowered as a melee weapon, because it instagibbed heads on a point blank shot.
I left later due to jannies being horrible and moved back to Tau, thank God they didnt have these horrible progress bars back then. WHY do codemonkeys insists adding anything from nubay? Nubay is literally horrible, there's no redeeming qualities to it.
