People suspect that Nintendo came down so hard on Switch emulators in the last couple years because the architecture is so similar to whatever's in the Switch 2. I imagine emulation won't take much time at all.

Wasn’t one of the reasons the WiiU flopped the fact that people thought it was just the same Wii with a few more bells and whistles, because the name was so similar? They really should’ve given this thing a new name, like the “Nintendo GameSlate” or something…

One of the bigger gripes with the joycons (besides drift) is that they felt like two kitkat bars you held in your hand with no sort of heft or weight to them like with the Wii remote. I understand if it was like that so your hands wouldn't get tired playing for long maybe, but holding two pencil weighted plastics probably isn't the most ideal ergonomics for controllers either. Not to mention still no backside for you to wrap your hand around for each con.
And I see they're still sticking with the goofy ahh dog controller grip-on which wasn't great either, thank god the pro controller has universal use.

I'm not that familiar with the Switch so I don't know all the caveats for the first one, But the device itself plugging into the controller and not the other way seems like a design flaw. The tab breaks the most expensive part of the device is going to be needing replaced instead of just the controller if it were the other way around. View attachment 6864813

This looks even more soulless then the switch design. Also the fact that it dosen't support all Switch games is bullshit. The fuck is their excuse? I don't trust those joycon connections, they look like they'll break easily. And the name, "Switch 2." Such an uninspired name. So far I'm not impressed with what I'm seeing from the soybox 2.

Wii U flopped because normies thought it was an addon to the Wii and most people had already moved on from the Wii and all the waggle gimmicks. It was a marketing failure.

Switch 2 is clear about what it is, normalfags will eat it up.
