Sadly (for him), any benefit at all he gets will be extremely temporary. Just look at him after he got out of jail. It didnt take long at all for him to fuck everything up again. He wasn't facecamming in those days, we saw his post-jail photo and then got the infamous knoxville gunt pic in what, 12 months? 18?

I think it's at least possible that Ralph was either told or realized himself from how he looks and feels physically, that he will die very soon if he doesn't change course. While he pretends to not care if he dies, we all know well that he considers not being dead to be his win condition. He may fear a Kiwi feature of him being found dead in his piss bottles more than whatever demons stop him from being sober.

Ralph ent quitting the Xanis or Benzos.

The last time he did this, he said that he needs to quit booze, but he will never quit the pills because they are “prescribed by a doctor“ ie, a medical necessity.
Ralph has always said that he doesn’t have a pill problem, but he does have an alcohol problem and the only issue he has is that he mixes the alcohol with the pills. He doesn’t think the pills are a problem as long as he doesn’t mix them with booze.

So no matter how rehab goes, he will still have “5 Bar Days”.

The stuff about him playing a gimmick that went out of control might actually be true. Back in the gamergate era I remember seeing that his wife (not nora the one before that) had left a negative yelp review on some restaurant related to some boycott over the owner being a racist. So there's actually a causal chain of events that starts with zoe quin sucking five different cocks in rapid succession and will eventually lead to ralph dying because nobody wants to hire a drug-addled racist gringo with extremely toxic google search results and he's forced to return to the only job he's ever been able to hold down, which is overdosing on xannies onstream so internet strangers will throw him peanuts.

Not that I mean to remove ralph's culpability for the consequences of his own actions, I just enjoy thinking about how in a way his decade-long downward spiral has been an extended-duration side-effect of gamergate.

Nora was his first wife so who are you talking about? I don't even remember a girlfriend known to the internet before Nora, and Nora co-founded the killstream.

Not wife, but girlfriend. There are pictures on the forum somewhere. She had a big head and her eyes weren’t a normal distance apart, but managed to have a normal life post-Ralph

Most rehabs do let you use your phone at least in America. They like to be able to hang it over patients heads as a punishment to take away.
