Tom Cruise doesn't look that bad for a man in his sixties, that's the power of Xenu! or maybe plastic surgery

He’s getting a chipmunk face which might be due to taking testosterone and/or HGH

My favorite then vs now among celebs is Ethan Suplee.

Ugh, what is going on with his SKIN around the midsection?? It looks like he’s melting.

That can’t be the same person.

l but thats because he always looked 50
when you lose your hair early it keeps people from accurately guessing your age.
helps that they were all adults when it came out. people don't really age too much between 40 and 70 nowadays.
Now & Then
the person making the video mustn't get out much. Walken and Dolly and Celine all were rather famous at a very young age, time just kept marching on. Patrick with hair looked insane though, Tom Hardy was a great pick, he does look like a very shitty clone of young Patrick.

I fancy Diane Kruger significantly more now than I did when I rewatched Troy on DVD, in my early teens, and that was when I fancied Rose Byrne more. The photo on the left is from two years ago, but who actually noticeably ages in that time? And Orlando Bloom looked his best in Kingdom of Heaven.

I heard that she was a major coke head for years in Hollyweird and it hampered her career.

Anywho, this is what she used to look like:

It's something that happens with the truly beautiful. I think it might have been Wilde in one of this novels that wrote: "She had the kind of beauty that does not require Youth to recommend it" and the quote has stayed with me. The photo on the right is undeniably attractive but the left is attractive and adds strength.

Another actress that has gone from sexy duckling to beautiful swan is Rachel Nicholls. As a young actress and more recently:

(She was also great in the much-overlooked show Continuum.)

In contrast, Jennifer Anniston has aged terribly:

I agree on Rachel Nichols, but, Jennifer Aniston...? You funny bastard, ha-ha-ha. I actually don't think she looks too bad now, but, you know what, I've never fancied her, even a little while watching Friends reruns. I'd agree with people, objectively, or whatever, she's beautiful-looking, but she never... did it for me. Same goes for Angelina Jolie, in my opinion.

(stole this idea from /tv/, fite me) What sort of black magic blood pact was signed on the set of 'Harry Potter' to make so many of the actresses get BOGGED?

Not the worst example but the fairest test: Evanna Lynch

Why does she always look half in the bag now? And before someone tries to 'umm sweaty that's how REAL women look, big yikes' me, here's one of the actresses she beat out for the part of Luna, Saoirse Ronan:

Same age, same potatomuncher gens, both glam photos with professional make up on. Evanna's not even the worst... look up Ginny Weasley's actress and weep. What the HELL went down on that set???

The preceding poast was made entirely for fun, no serious commentary was intended by either the poaster or reader. please do not sue me for the love of god i don't want to fight off the Harry Potter lawyers please

Jennifer Aniston has managed to age well, but like you for whatever reason I never found her attractive. She looked like Barbara Streisland 2.0. Not a knock on her comic acting at all, just not my type. Courtney Cox / Monica was where it was at. The actress was gorgeous and the character (neurotic obsessive) was my dating profile.

But to keep to the topic of the thread, Courtney Cox is a sad example of Then and Now. Not because she didn't have the looks or lost them naturally but because someone(s) convinced her she needed to get plastic surgery to stay attractive. Like your other examples, Courtney Cox could have been a beautiful in her forties and aged into a very loveable old person eventually. Instead, botox and crap:

She had a wonderfully expressive face and gorgeous smile. I'd love to have intercepted her on her way to whatever fucking surgeon injected her with that crap and told her "you're beautiful, you'll stay beautiful, don't do this." But those aren't the circles I move in.

Evanna Lynch was very good in the role though - one of the most likeable characters. And she seems to be a nice person too given her willingness to show up for some amateur Harry Potter musical thing in character.

I find it a bit strange to be comparing child actors with adults then and now. At least in the context of how attractive the adult version is because it's not something you can compare. I mean, I'm not going to weep over what Ginny Weasley's actress looks like now because nothing was lost (I mean, I'm not going to weep anyway but I'm taking your figure of speech).

That said, I did as you suggest and I have no idea what you're talking about:

If you don't want to buy her a drink, I hope you don't mind if I do!

This is what happens when fat asses lose alot of weight. The skin never snaps back all the way.

Lara Flynn Boyle did that crap too.
Not posting the "now" photo because it's too depressing.

I never heard that, but still, that's depressingly predictable, if true.
As an aside to the Kruger drug implication, a couple of people who work in Hollyweird and deal with actors on a daily basis said that they’ve seen her in restaurants and she would constantly get up to go to the bathroom. Eventually, she repeatedly had nose bleeds that were difficult to stanch.

Fuck...

Actresses from the 1980s and 1990s Then & Now.

Two things you’ll notice is that most of them have had obvious and often bad plastic surgery. And many of them develop rather mannish faces.

If there is a God, please don’t let me get old….allow someone to find a cure for the disease known as aging.

95% of the "wtf happened to them" is the result of drug use and partying for 10+ years.

Dont smoke, dont do drugs, eat a good diet and maintain some form of a physical regimen and you wont turn out looking like skeletor at 40.

Yes, that makes sense. And don’t drink alcohol too much or at all. People simply need to have a bit of self-discipline. It’s not difficult to do.

All of that will slow down the aging process, but it won’t stop it. If a cure for aging isn’t found before I turn 30, I don’t know if I’ll continue to want to live. I don’t want to look old EVER!
