I'll tell you what happens next. The American people are going to be pissed. It's one thing to hear your distant cousin's daughter died to fent, it's another thing to hear your brother got gassed by chlorine by people that are just across the border.
I will say this. If terror attacks occur, the chance of American Militias forming and crossing into Mexico are non zero, especially among the border states. The Cartels will be inviting a war they cannot win with a ENDLESS stream of volunteers ready to kick their ass.

So I think the Spanish White House website being removed was already pointed out, but holy shit, I don't think this was yet. Look at this, clock me if I'm late:

The regular 404 Page for the White House is the following, whenever you put in any invalid URL:

Says "Go to home page." You can test this yourself with any string of invalid characters.

That must have changed very recently. When I posted my memeshot yesterday at noon, it was from a dead link to a Biden press release on the English site, and it just said Go Home.

Because it's 3am and there's procedures and stuff. You have paperwork that had to be filled out as well as belongings that are probably in̈ police possession they'll get back (clothes they were wearing, wallet). It's also not a cartoon so you don't just boot them out asap. Normally they get released around noontime to someone that meets them
Yeah it’s pretty standard to let criminals out in a window, and it’s arguably more humane that way. You don’t want to be outside a jail at 3 am.

On the other hand, I believe they also rerun all your data before release against the databases (like DNA) to make sure you’re not a suspect in some other crime. This takes time, especially if you’re in for the first time.

This would go about as well as when Reddit decided to fight for Ukraine, where they died on camera and were deemed useless as anything other than very ugly barrack bunnies.

if it makes you feel better, there are already citizens militas forming in mexico that are basically hellbent on fighting cartels. Mainly people whose family members were murdered by them, so these people will die fighting.

I love the footage coming from them, just civilians in baseball caps with kevlar vests with AKs just laying hate on narcos they see.

Fuck the narcos

Isn't that just chinese history?

You get the mandate of heaven. Your people in the border regions complain about barbarians. You attack the barbarians, take them over and forcefully sinecize them. They are now your people. The empire grows weak with the leadership complacent. Disaster amount and people question your legitimacy. A new Dynasty rises. You get the mandate of heaven. Your people in the border regions complain about barbarians. You attack the barbarians, take them over and forcefully sinecize them. They are now your people. The empire grows weak with the leadership complacent....
For Chinese history, I think every sentence should have ended with "and millions perish", but maybe that was implied?

Why should government jobs be less attractive? In the IT field they damn near aren't. I know everyones not a cybersec overachiever who makes $500 million a year working for FAANG but my stepbrother is only 30 and makes $250k as a defense contractor, where he would be making like $120k doing the same work.

I know you're probably thinking of FBI/NSA/CIA glowniggers but getting Tim the Sysadmin who works at his local VA hospital stuck in the crossfire isn't going to help anyone.
Contractor jobs are not federal government jobs. Frankly, the massive overspending on contractors all throughout the government is a source of significant fiscal waste.

If you hear those rotor blades, Total Cartel Death has been enacted. And I have a feeling those fuckers are about to eat some 105mm. I just do.
Also, @ZeCommissar since I cannot quote your excellent post.

Simply put, the cartels do not want to fuck around on this. Multiple former SF/T1’s have said the cartel is not ready for the hyper violence advanced combat units, especially Tier 1 assets, will bring. They’re used to mainly terrifying soft targets that can’t hit back, or are hit under surprise and can’t adequately react. They have no plan for organized, well funded, and supported elite units who are trained to destabilize entire nations. There are various political and logistical roadblocks that have prevented it thus far, but if they start trying to assert dominance, they’re gonna get pegged by a machine they can’t dream of stopping.

Yeah, I know. I'm just saying that nobody wants to work a fed job because they can either contract or go work in the private sector.

LMAO. You underestimate people with actual stakes in the conflict and know how to shoot.

I think the narcos would wish to avoid a similar situation in a country with more guns than people. Because it will not go well for them. They will be dealing with the US Military and a horde of angry people, armed and dangerous.

If it's anything like here, the reason so many contractors are used is to get around the complicated employment rules that effectively prevent firing permanent workers.

There's a difference tbh, God's strongest NAFO Redditor is a vegetarian gymcel with bitchwrists who watches kurtzgesat videos, God's weakest conservitard is at least a strongfat who drinks black rifle coffee and can spray and pray while still hitting things

What's with all the speds here?

somethingsomething kiwifarmers are one step removed from becoming lolcows themselves

Declaring war on the cartels would be great for keeping the military industrial complex goons placated, instead of drone striking brown people in caves halfway across the world, they can switch to brown people in jungles close to home and get more support from the U.S. and Mexican population. If we're going to do endless war we can at least do it in a way that actually benefits us and not Israel.

I wonder if they could be made more effective through Russian, Chinese and Iranian assistance.

22nd Amendment (1951)
Before that it was a tradition, one that FDR broke.
I know the term limit was added after and because of FDR, I'm saying it would have limited him. Saying it was put in to prevent anyone undoing what he did ignores that it also prevents anyone from coming in and doing it twice as hard.

I'd love to be this sanguine, but I find your hypothetical of volunteer militias much less likely than China supplying the cartels to fuck with us. I wouldn't be surprised if it drove regular enlistment though.
