When I made the announcement on Nov 1st (which was featured), I speculated he lost it because of CLE non-compliance. He got it back 72 hours later. Which, for a little while, made it seem like it was only a non-payment issue.

Now it's looking like I wasn't off the mark afterall. He just managed to get back for just a little while by sending in the fee, but the CLE crap still caught up with him and they took action a few months later anyways.

IOW, it wouldn't surprise me if he went out of his way to momentarily get it back just to try and shut people up for a little while.

Nick is like that. It never works for very long, of course.

The more telling thing is that he lacks the income to even make the mortgage payments. With no other mortgage and presumably no other debt, he lacked the income to even make payments on a reasonable mortgage with a relatively low interest rate.

He also made no attempt to do the other obvious thing and find a renter for the house. Putting it on the rental market should have brought in enough money to mostly cover the mortgage payments.

The other thing work a thought is that while this dumbass was not paying that mortgage, he was almost certainly spending more per month on cocaine than the mortgage payment.

For maybe a year, he just stopped paying his mortgage and let everything slide deep into the foreclosure process. That isn't big-brain finance. That is being a broke-ass loser.

Note how he has never actually said what he invested the mortgage money into. He didn't even say he put it into stocks, bonds, anything. Just that he 'leveraged debt', like he read about that in a Quora question and just repeated it without understanding what it meant. No one believes him. Besides, there are a number of questions you could ask that show it makes no sense anyway:

1. Why didn't you take out the mortgage against the entire property value, rather than some smaller amount, especially if you are so good at investing you would make your money back? Investing 600k is better than 300k, right?
2. Why not take out the loan against the house that weren't living in, rather than your primary residence, just in case you fuck up and things go bad?
3. Why were your mortgage payments not on autopay?
4. How were you (or Kayla) unaware about the default?
5. You claimed on Melton's (pedophile) show that you just paid off the mortgage. So you just had a spare 300k laying around? Did you liquidate your investments in the stock market to pay the mortgage? Depending on how you invested the money there could be enormous penalties for doing so, so much so that you could be net negative on the overall "investment."

This has all been brought up before, but worth repeating until Rekieta is chased off the Internet. The Rekieta mortgage/default/foreclosure saga is one of the most absurd and stupid things any lolcow documented on this site has done.
