I saw this happen years ago. It was at a gas station in Vancouver BC and I was waiting to pay. Another American in line before me was paying in American Freedom Bucks and was complaining about the exchange rate. He said something like, "I wish we just were one country" or something and the cashier says, "I'd love to see the Canadian flag flying outside the White House". You could have heard a pin drop as the American practically went beet red and then snarled, "that's NOT what I meant!" then grabbed his change and stormed out. Me? I'm trying desperately not to laugh.

Catching up on the thread, so I was glad to see someone share this story. I found out about it from this DailyFail article, and several details in particular jumped out:


This sounds exactly like something Jack would say lol. Extolling the benefits of some dodgy routine, even while it’s proving itself to be actively killing you. And it’s nothing short of miraculous that the guy in the story didn’t present to the hospital with death as his primary symptom, given how high his cholesterol reading was.


Nine pounds of fat in a day?? Reading that shit made my toes curl. I don’t think even Jack could accomplish that. Not because his gluttonousness is slowing down, but because of the stroke-induced paralysis of his throat making swallowing a painful chore, and aspiration an even greater risk.

Still, it’s funny to imagine this happening to Jack- Tammy comes home to the sight of an incoherent Jack staggering around inside the house, moaning and bawling like a zombie, with cholesterol emanating from every vessel, pore, and orifice. Kind of like when those mutant isopods started bursting from people’s bodies xenomorph-style in The Bay (2012). And it freaks her out so much that she runs into the bedroom to retrieve the gun.
