Thanks reddit women and happy cake day!
Isn't cake a pedophile slang? Something related to lolicon, if I'm not misremembering it.

Casual users who aren't all-in on this flavour-of-the-week bullshit will just see that "subreddit was good but now it keeps having large amounts of information missing" and leave.
This is close to my biggest gripe with reddit. Clicking on a search result just to be met with [deleted] for the post or solution. I don’t like how someone can solve a problem but then a year later make a tranny joke and get banned (and fully expunged from the record). I don’t think we realize yet the knowledge loss these porn-addled faggots have caused.

I’ve started searching using a “-reddit” flag to ensure these useless posts don’t clog up my results. I’ve also started using AI for things not affected by left wing ideology. If I need an explanation of some element in an API I’d rather have Claude or perplexity explain it rather that sift through paragraphs of praise for Karl Marx and anti-work sentiments to find it (or more likely a very promising looking [deleted] post).

I feel it got bad when Ariel Pink's label kicked him out because he said he voted for Trump.
I think the defining moment Reddit went downhill is when they banned r/TheDonald; then you add the failed boycott in 2022, and the site has been declining since.
Sadly, the problem of reddit being the first thing you see because of SEO shit means it's hard to do that. First, we have to start with Google's search being broken.
funny enough, I am able to find forums by putting forums after a sentence like political forums, but you can also find Linux forums on Google when searching Linux questions. I don't think it's as bad as people make it seem. I am able to find forums pretty easily on Google. If you want me to, I can make a list of forums that are still alive, but I think a solution is something like Reddit; that's an aggregator of forums, but where the forums can have rules independent of each other.

I just noticed the pinned anti-Kiwifarms post on r/youtubedrama. The mods' aggression towards Kiwifarms is a bit weird, because when I directly told them I was going to share screenshots with Kiwifarms instead, they were quite cool about it.

I was one of the people who was a little terrified of this website, but you guys are actually great and I feel like such a dumbass for being so hesitant. It's probably the modern day version of people 10 years ago thinking 4chan was full of scary hackers.

Why did you namedrop us? That's not kosher and you know it.

I think it started sooner. Remember the Gawker article about Violent Acres?
Dude was a creep, but Reddit was def free speech then.
When they banned Fat People Hate was another infamous moment.

It's worse than I even imagined reading that.

The painful part is the most basic level of research shows how fake this all is.

The OP arnaud267 does not even actively post in the LEGO subreddit. The person just showed up and said "we" like they belong there. If you bother to dig through their post history, it's all political subreddits, including an 18-day-old post about how the UK should ban twitter. To me that sounds like this "ban twitter" campaign has been floating around in someone's head for a while now, and now they're pushing for it.

And if it's not an arnaud267 being an active political poster, it's other accounts that are brand new making similar threads calling for the ban, all while ban announcements consistently have lower approval (between 50-75% upvotes) than top posts are usually used to getting.

Would bet money it's the same jannies that are always responsible for all of reddit's political "movements" having another episode where they think they're "fighting the good fight" and instead they're just manipulating the votes and engaging in censorship themselves. Dead internet theory is alive and well, because I can only guess the admins and owners put up with all of this because it at least presents the illusion the website gets far more traffic than it does.

Transplanting an rdrama post because it's fitting. From /r/196, the epic funny relatable teenage meme sub!
Y'all laid down and accepted shit like right wing ideas of porn addiction way too easily and I think you all should feel bad about that (archive)
"Hello fellow teens, aren't you tired of being called a gooner for a normal, casual interest in sex?"
1737665283018.png
Not even the reddit teens are convinced that this concept creep OP claims is happening has taken place (it's not, we all know gooner means you constantly jack off to increasingly degenerate porn). OP doubles down and says even if you are gooning (actual definition) it's probably totally fine. Strawmen deployed like "I totally have seen people called porn addicts for having sex IRL" (sure jan).
1737665359427.png1737665408919.png
A few smarter redditors do a little investigation- looking into OP's post history. Come to the obvious conclusion: OP is literally a gooner and gets mad when people identify them as such.

So, what's OP posting that's getting him labeled a gooner? I'll just post the titles/subs and you can use your imagination (archive sites filtered by 18+ page on reddit)

Cartoon woman getting mouth raped by a horse

1737665796990.png(Oh yeah, it's a MtF trans, shocking) Constant begging for someone to roleplay with (lol nobody does). There's at least 6 more posts in the most recent 25 on this page

I know, shocking. A trans gooner posting in the teen memes subreddit complaining about being called a gooner and why you youngin's should never shame anyone for gooning.

Redditor unironically equivocates reddit with the entire planet earth because even normie conservatives are finally leaving the pathetic echo chamber that is reddit. "The Earth is healing!"

13,000 upvotes (although a lot of that is fuzzing and bots). By making reddit especially unusable (because every sub is obsessed with banning X for the next few days) you have driven off more patrons. Well done as always.

I wonder if any faggots on the Titantic saw people swarming into lifeboats and smugly declared, "Finally! The chuds are leaving!"
