both were communicated to be in standard from day one. some asian countries are very anal about the "limited" term, and since real money is involved changes afterwards can cause issues, especially when you remember how deranged some asian players are.
I'm adding it the "fuck you hoyo" pile that will inevitably make me quit the game. I want senhe for the waifu collection, but certainly not for that price. none of those chars are in any form meta anymore, and by their own admission they can't/won't put them back in a limited banner, yet at the same time want me to spend possibly 180 rolls on that shit.
to add insult to injury most of the 4* are age old as well or pointless, so not even the filler is worth it. it's peak jewery that simply isn't necessary, even more when looking at the numbers and word of mouth.

I did manage to get a 10 pull through the event and battle pass and got The Herta. Had Most of the mats to 8/8/8 her, just need to farm Feixaio a bit more

Maybe it's because I'm not Asian but wouldn't it be delightful to have, say, Eula (I don't know why she's my go to example for everything. I don't even have her nor do I know anything about her except Fandom retardation) finally be available without breaking bank on a limited banner? Wouldn't it be nice to have a flop character that you like but didn't get suddenly be available without stress?
On the flip side I can imagine some people, even western folk would rage over the fact that they spent 2 grand to get Eula or whatever, only to see she's on a standard banner years later so they feel as if they wasted their money.
They really fucked themselves. It's not so bad as "three single pulls for our three year anniversary" levels of bad but still rather shitty.
I guess I would have minded less if it didn't run concurrently with two other individual banners. I dunno, feels kinda ass.
It's the same issue I have HSR doing triple banners. Thankfully it's not often but Aglaea will be triple dick Asshole fucking session the third within my time with the game (started mid-late August)
As a new player, it can be rather overwhelming.
Oh and to not turn this into a rant post, no Chlorinde or Astra but well, we're getting there.

In Inazuma most of the story quests that are fucking incredible are the non archon quests. really unfortunate even now how rushed through the main quest feels compared to the surrounding stuff, and I'm not talking about the several real world day mechanic they were experimenting with when making some of the inazuma quests, athough that does add to the pacing of some of them being slower.
It's really sadder to me because inazuma is really hyped up before you go to it as having weird/bad shit going down there, and while there IS it's not really touched on too much in the main archon quest aside from what happens with teppei and how actually absent the archon is despite first being framed as super present to the point of being easily manipulated by malicious foreign organizations. Theres elements of a really good fucking story in there but it's so fucking just shuffled and sped through after a slow start.
Sumeru's main quest also ties back to inazumas shit (and prior stuff if you're like me and didn't miss the important character quests that were Limited time events for some fucking reason) which somehat salvages it... but once again if you missed certain events... I'm pretty sure one of the character arcs for one of the weirdly highest effort lore guys based on bohemian fucking rhapsody of all things is gonna just feel kinda rushed through. I'm glad less important character quests lately have been limited quest lines but I wish they'd bring back the earlier ones as some form of actual lore quest for people that missed it. It's been a bit too long to properly integrate it though without breaking shit who already passed that point in the story though I think.

Might be a quick swap type stunner rather than on-field like Qingyi. Kinda awkward that there are enemies weak to electric but resist against fire and vice versa. S11 and Trigger maybe weird in some cases.
I actually like Genshin Tetris pvp. Anyway, just do pvp mode instead of versus against AI, you'll get more points that way. Also, I feel like Ganyu and Xiao are the easiest to play in that mode. Beidou and Yelan are more for messing the other player. Lan Yan is kinda bad, Qiqi and HuTao aren't that impressive.

Agreed. As a weeb, I was genuinely interested in Inazuma but I was let on to the garbage story which was so disappointing + plus my actual dislike for Raging Thundercunt and Fox Thot which is a first for me in Genshin as I seldom dislike characters as much as I dislike them.

I guess it would explain why there's a sudden animatic dedicated to Wanderer's backstory and his mommy issues. I'm guessing he's an overarching villain alongside Dottore, who's pretty cool. I'm guessing there was a "MUH SIGNORA" moment with him too where everyone wanted him to be playable.

there are tutorials, in the talent screen I think. one for a simple overview, with a complete tutorial in the bottom right (can't remember the shortcut). you even get astrite as a reward for doing those. sadly you can't repeat it without leaving, and no input display like in a fighting game.
all hoyo had to do was share pity, that's the least of it. wouldn't cause any MUH LIMITED legal problems and wouldn't make losing the coinflip as shit. I assume they did it because they merged the banner with weapons, and some of them are still good, and we can't have players get those for cheap years later - or split banners to not make pulling characters as insufferable.
but seriously, if what I hear from PGR and seen so far in wuwa is true, that kuro gives straight upgrades for free (like calculator -> XY), it's gonna shit all over genshin. heck at this point I wouldn't put it past them to make brant an event freebie - solves the "I don't pull males" issue and makes everyone else (especially chicks) squee, while being incredible PR.
that goes all the way back to 1.1, and fujos are special. iirc it was just one scene tho, till he showed up all the way later in the 2.x story, and then in sumeru again.
signora was mostly "step on me mommy" memes and that character archetype wasn't in the game at that point, it's basically arlecchino. a lot of people are still coping she gets resurrected with her own tragic backstory to make her sympathetic, now that tortellini and wanderer got that treatment.

My bad luck streak continues and I lost the 50/50 on the liyue banner and ended up with that loser Tartaglia rather than the Ganyu con I wanted. He gets to live in the Qiqi zone of never built characters.

His first appearance was a lot more than one scene lmao. was also a few other small bits like during a festival event in Inazuma where he's kind of the culprit of shit that went down in the past to some degree.
See that's the funny thing, she actually DOES have a sympathetic backstory, but it's only really ever slightly alluded to in stuff talking about the character, or directly in game lore books and item descriptions that don't directly reference her by name but several titles. Given her nature there's also a very slim chance she might come back, but yeah it's pretty clear at this point that not every character with a unique design is going to be playable at some point. She'd need to to a lot of self reflection about the horrible fucker she became.
I do like how some of the fatui are complete fucking scumbags while others are somewhat once moral or fully straight up well intentioned (though doing shit via shady means). Arlechhino and the captain are far far fucking removed from fuckers like dottore, and then you got jobbers like Childe who's powerful-ish but he's also just doing shit for his family and country like a lot of the jobber npc fatui are implied to be doing.
Just because e-thots dress up as a character does not a thot make lmao.
Still I get why you'd be somewhat averse to the character as they got like some intentionally mildly shady or scummy attributes while also supposedly being like in charge of important religious shit for the region, and some other factors.
He's a pretty fun/chool character to use but them going with so many banner reruns with him instead of other characters earlier on bugged the fuck out of people and rightfully so. No not the people who want "character rarity" fuck those people I mean like the people that want to be able to unlock the other characters and not just him lmao. Oddly I didn't get him on the first go or almost any other reruns till like one of the last /recent reruns.

Yae is just grating to me. It doesn't help that she's rather useless and does fuck all when the plot makes a huge song and dance about how she and Ei are buddies. Granted, we're the player characters so all the hard work is done by us and Kazuha in one scene.
That's also why I refer to Inazuma as "Eternity Gooning Session" or whatever because it's really just two twats yapping about Eternity while their country falls apart and everything fixes itself rather poorly.
Granted, perhaps all of this could have been circumvented with better writing, had MHY not been crippled during COVID so my dislike for the Eternity THOTS is also reflective of my dislike for Inazuma. And my overall disappointment of what could have been.
I still find them both annoying though. Ei more than Yae.

Next patch primos are kinda pathetic, so spend them wisely.

Christ Natlan seems like such a disaster in terms of content, with areas being delayed and this nothing patch being shat out. The rumors of Cryo land being delayed to 7.0, with 6.0 just being a small-ish area is starting to look more and more true.
A minor blessing for me I guess, gives me time to finish all the HSR content I've been ignoring, like the sidequests that they've stopped adding to the game lol.
