From my understanding, all the talk around the shooting is completely misunderstanding what the fuck is going on with this teenager. Motherfucker was not "inspired by Candace Owens". Its one last irony-laden swing at humor. It's one last irony-laden swing at completely fucking up culture. Half of the manifesto was. Someone earlier in the thread put it correctly that it was a teenager in pain that couldn't express himself properly because the only thing he consumed was slop and he turned his mind to skibidi bop bop dop yes yes mush cobson shartson alarm award froot kuz we wuz kangs blacked bbc award fucking mush.

Both the manifesto and his diary mention the Dead Nigger Baby image, which to me makes me think he may have actually written it, but thats only if it isn't some bigger injoke in the types of circles that produced this shooter. I could be completely misjudging the situation. I've been known to say retarded shit when it wasn't needed before.

It's funny seeing how news outlets try to explain the manifesto and motives for the shooting. The motives for the shooting, if they're to be taken at face value (which I don't believe that they are) are a product of an semi-ironic byzantine neoideology that only 16 year olds are capable of understanding, and the only thing that places like CNN are capable of summarizing it into is that it was an incel manifesto posted on "non-traditional websites," like that explains anything thats going on.

I would say that my prayers are with the families and the school but that never fucking helps anything and makes me look like a complete jackass. I'm just so upset that this sort of thing keeps happening.

I'm sure American high schools are using the same cheap pressboard shit doors that my British one did.

Our exterior school doors are generally steel, and the classroom doors are solid wood with a small safety glass panel. From the pictures of the shooter he had a sub compact 9mm, his looks like a Kimber micro 9 or similar 1911 style pistol. Recoil is terrible on it (gfs dad bought her one, it sucks ass) it likely will take multiple followup shots to defeat the door lock which you will miss most of. To defeat locks quickly there is no substitute for a 12gauge.

Guests might not go through the whole process to report directly to the site, I'll agree with you there. But they would definitely report to other places like the NCMEC if things like CP were actually present on this site like journos love to continuously lie about. Those would then be reported to site moderation to take action. I do think our community is good at self-policing so it doesn't have to ever get to that point.

Yeah, the ERP saga was really fucking cringe and embarrassing for every party involved. AFAIK however, nobody in any of those messages ever sent anything illegal. If even a single illegal image was transmitted through DMs, I guarantee that Null himself would report their IP to the FBI. Unless the solution is to outright remove DMs, there really isn't a fix for that one unfortunately. People are always going to do cringe shit, hence why this website is still active nearly 12 years later.

USAF Milsperg here. Its Army ROTC. However, ROTC programs dont issue firearms capable of live fire, if anything their rifles are rendered inoperable or can just use blanks, and just used for marching drills and parade reviews.
With my experince in the location, he was just as likely to have found a pistol on the side of the road or in a ditch. I personally found 3 pistols in 3 years working in the Nashville area, including one in Antioch. To give a better idea of what the area is like, the only thing I didnt find was a dead body in a ditch. Which was always a very real possibility.

Is this another Ethan Crumbley case where his parents straw purchased a gun for him? If he had stolen it, then it would likely be flagged if the police ran the serial number while there. As a matter of fact, I don't think anyone has identified why exactly he was raided by the police in the first place. Whatever it was must have had some consequences becuase he posted a picture in a car on page 28 of the diary saying he was going to court for some reason. Not sure what it would take, but do any of the law-Kiwis have an idea if we could get ahold of any police reports related to him?
