Man, it's been awhile since Phil has said something that made my brain temporarily shortcircuit.

Just saying "give me $300 to do XYZ" isn't a meme. While I know it wasn't intentional on his part, Phil is probably one of the better examples of a streamer thriving on a meme because that was 100% what the vest streak was. And while it wasn't quite as long lasting, "the kings tax" was another meme that took off in Phil's favor.

The big thing is, it's something the audience has to get excited about. Streamers can definitely influence certain things, but even then, it tends to be more the streamer hypes it up, but it's the audience that makes it a reality.

Which btw, makes the Comcast story sound like a very elaborate setup at this point. Let's think logically here... if Phil had proof that a Comcast employee admitted was another Comcast employee of some sort fucking with his internet, changing settings AND paying bills, he would have actually made bank.

Phil somehow has such a poorly put together wifi network that it goes down daily. I think my shitting ISP router has been on the fritz maybe 5 times in 2 years? And at most that was a 1-2 minute reset that fixed it.

He went on multiple unhinged rants on the copecast acting a victim. Repeated the lie that people wanted to break into his house when he went to get married in CT because they made "blueprints of his house." The truth was that people made a plan of his ahhfice and how to best fix the absolute mess his ahffice was at the time (and still is, in different ways.) Said that he didn't say that he was getting married so his parents don't get swatted, which makes zero sense because he already announced he's visiting his parents, so an insane troll could've swatted their house with him in it at any time during the visit. Makes sense if you don't think about it. Said that he can't go to the zoo with Khet because they'd have to plan it out oh also btw the trolls would call in a bomb threat if he did. Says that he never says what he does so the trolls can't know where he is. He sits on his ass in the snort fort 6 days a week. Repeated the old threat that the trolls will get and instant 6 star wanted level and Enjoy Prison™ if they step foot in his gated community. Says that if he did IRL streaming he'd get fucked with more than Ice Poseidon because he has worse trolls.

This dude wants to be victimized so bad. He legitimately unironically actually factually has a deathwish. I don't know how or why, I think he maybe watched a compilation of Ice Poseidon getting fucked with and saw that for a lolcow of his notoriety Phil's one of the least fucked with cows on the internet and it somehow clashes with his narcissistic delusion and self-image of having the worst trolls and being the most blameless victim of all time.

I would not shed any tears for Phil if he started receiving DragonLord levels of trolling and legit had to start living out of a truck and keep on the move nearly 24/7 before people found out where he was and fucked with him.

I never really believed that story. It always stank to high heaven.

Fact of the matter is, if it actually happened, any lawyer in the nation would be falling over each other for the chance to represent him for free* for such an easy open and shut case.

Comcast would be more'n happy to simply throw a large settlement to have that case never see the light of day.
Also, I think the fact that the tech allegedly initiated a payment would run afoul of federal crimes as well if I'm not mistaken.

Its simply such an outrageous story that everyone should take not just a second look but also a third and fourth.

Phil can't play Civilization. It's a turn based game that takes 8 hours for a single 'run' and has no story whatsoever. It takes a streamer with a personality to pull off something like that, make a narrative out of "Now we're gonna fuck up England" or something. Also strategy is Phil kryptonite.

Weirdly enough, the donations stopped after the PS5 Pro, stopped after the big money was coming in (11-1 Kick check was the last big payment)...
Now that he's going to get another large-ish check for ICS whaling in Kick subs, I wonder if a $1k digital camera shows up outta nowhere
