Chinese History Books

So this is still the result of your passive reception of media information without actively learning about other races
He's probably American and has no relevant knowledge in any capacity. Americans exist in a bubble which is wholly separate from the rest of the world. It's not uncommon for them to make references to countries that no longer exist or to have an incredibly outdated and flawed perception of other peoples, races or history itself. It's pointless to try to fix this.

Pressing hard X to doubt. Yeah they had their eunochs record information, but there's very little chance of that information not containing bias or getting altered along the centuries due to the nature of monarchy wanting to make themselves good and everyone beforehand look bad. You almost assuredly have better luck with European history since it has way varied sources to find a less biased middle ground.
This is a true story from 2600 years ago in China, where a powerful official murdered his own monarch. The official ordered historians to depict the monarch as dying of illness, but historians refused to listen and recorded history truthfully. The official killed him. Subsequently, the official called over the historian's brother, who was still recording history truthfully, and the official killed him. The official called the historian's son over again, but the historian's son still recorded history truthfully. The official had no choice but to release him. When he returned, another historian mistakenly thought he was dead and planned to record history truthfully. He was on his way there
This is the most revered morality among ancient Chinese historians. If the second dynasty's historical records of the first dynasty are unfair, then historians of the third dynasty will re record the history of the first dynasty

And how many of those books have been carefully edited to make China look like the best thing ever?
Are they even reliable?

Problem with ancient history books has always been that before the oral history was written down it got broken telephone'd to shit adding some personal flair depending on the story teller. From the primitive times to paper i mean, later on there are more sources where you can piece it together.

I wouldn't trust any history books if the CCP is involved though, they might select pieces here and there to suit their agenda and during cultural devolution they destroyed multiple historical sites. They are like ISIS destroying their own heritage because of bullshit reasons.
This is a problem with recent history too. What, you think the Associated Press was squeaky clean?

I imagine that any historians studying ancient China reject many aspects of traditional Chinese historiography but acknowledge any truth in it; historians have developed many methods for sniffing out BS in ancient, biased sources and often treat many interpretations of events as hypotheses subject to being amended.

This "totally true legit 100% happened" story sounds like another piece of Chinese propaganda.
That Chinese historians are so obsessed with the truth that they will defy emperors and get killed for the cause.
Bullshit.

And then everybody clapped.

Like at least make the propaganda slightly believable rather than a single case that somehow represents all the eunochs history jannies.

Putting aside any doubts about this story for now, at least we have gained an understanding of the ancient Chinese historians' admiration for this morality. Additionally, the historical records of the First Dynasty recorded by the Second Dynasty and the First Dynasty recorded by the Third Dynasty can be compared

Dude, if you’re Chinese, the only reason you’re allowed on dissident western internet is to be subversive.

I bet your mom’s name translates to “honeypot” and it’s a reference to her sticky pussy

Further, you’re autistic because she only had century eggs in her ovaries

However, the reality of this world is subversive, such as establishing a Jewish state in a place where Muslims are widespread, which is also a form of subversive
You obviously don't understand the naming of Chinese women. Also, I heard that most Israelis nowadays have Germanic ancestry, which is why they are good at terrorist attacks. Is this true?
From your words and actions, it is highly likely that your grandmother was the lover of a Nazi officer

The fact that no-one's mentioned Tiananmen Square yet is honestly impressive. I always thought that people had an intense need to mention it whenever someone admits to being Chinese online, like how Americans always need to bring up being raped by negroids whenever prisons are mentioned.

Which grandmother? I had two

Well, you’re more fun than other Chinese posters, anyway.

And I don’t support Israel, it’s just that since they already existed, Hamas’ behavior shouldn’t be tolerated by anyone.

OK but all those records can be heavily edited.
How can you tell that 13th century history wasn't edited to bits in early 20th century?
No, seriously, how do you know?
I get it, bruh, you're Chinese, you're programmed to love your government just like the average Westerner is programmed to love refugees.

The biggest flaw with Western history has been the biggest flaw with Eastern history as well.

It’s somebody’s job to curate what is and is not included, and whoever’s job it is, they’re a patron of the ruling class. They do the job they’re told to.

Lol next you'll tell me on farmers 3000 years ago having a story on how they respect and live with nature.

Not to mention that the third dynasty in your example would have little to go on about what happened in the first dynasty.

Centralized record keeping is great for stockpiling grain harvests but as far as actual stories go not so much.
Just look at the Western Tradition and it's 6 million and 1 competing interpretations and all the fascinating blood feuds it enables, one book per dynasty? What a missed opportunity.
The CCP will never be a legitimate dynasty until it honours it's predecessors BTW, not until the KMT shrine is established next to the Qing one can the heavenly mandate be claimed.
