What I mean is that a good business relationship with the US is the start of a good diplomatic relationship with the US, which could mean the US being a military ally - which is the best military ally in the world. That is far more valuable than a military alliance with China, which has zero power projection and has not fought a war since 1979 (which they lost).
I know the meme is faggot niggertroon stuff in US academia, but our universities are top tier. An engineering degree from MIT is worth far more than an engineering degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. It's not even close. Even Europe is behind on this because, for decades, what Europeans called a "PhD" was equivalent in the US to a Master's degree. They're catching up on this but are still behind.

The problem is, American citizens never signed up to be the protectors of these foreign nations. I've watched family become disabled, both physically and mentally, defending shitholes across the globe. If the American people were benefiting from these trade deals then it would be a different story. If you look at the heartlands of America they are decimated by global trade, and endless war. China having no power projection is good for them. That is what has raised their people's standards of living.
I don't know anyone going to top Ivy league schools. They're filled with foreigners. However, I've attended state university, and my Grandfather and older Sister were/are physics and math professors at ok state universities. The quality of student in the last 10 but especially the last 4 years have dropped precipitously. We might have a few top of the top places, but they're filled with non-citizens. Many of whom are Chinese themselves and leave the country to build dams in Africa.
