Anyone who knows anything about prepping knows that the real value comes from tangible objects, so I wouldn't be surprised if they have gold and the like as well, just in case they need it. They don't care about us, they don't care about ruling some new society at this point, they just want to eat all the remaining pies they have stockpiled while you and me starve or get shot to death by looters. End of story. Not like there is anything to look forward to by that point anyways, so why not live it up?
