see at that point i just up and got the movie line figures which are 5 inches and look great. i then got some emeralds off etsy. ive been trying to get the 4 inch chaos and the master emerald for a few months tho because it's scalped to shit. it's not even a rare figure, it's just that people base the prices off of everyone else's prices. so you have four listings at once that all say 70 dollars
I've never seen any characters most of the time save for sonic or running sonic in any wave at my stores. 100% believe there's some weird backroom shady shit going on in my area and at a lot of chain stores. Found the 4 inch metal sonic recently and got it because despite the colors being the same non metallic plastic as the 2.5 inch one and it beingsomehow stumpier looking it's actually a solid figure otherwise and has articulation the 4 inch figures lack almost entirely across the board for some reason save for the 4 inch classic robotnik and mecha sonic figures. it doesn't fucking scale with either of them obviously as they're scaled for the 2.5 figures and I doubt they're going to make a standalone "5 inch scale" classic robotnik to match the other 4 inch line figures any time soon. Closest the modern ones have to that is the netflix eggman with a toupee. It's genuinely weird how they scale down the taller characters instead of just making a taller figure most of the time. You didn't see previous companies doing this shit.
sonic adventure 2 is such a good game. it really is a big deal
i mean the game was released in 2001. thats the same year ninterndo released the Gamecube and the game boy advance. and microsoft entered the game market with the Xbox.
so guys like @Vyse Inglebard during that same year, we had the Nintendo 64, the Nintendo Gamecube, The Game Boy Color, the Game Boy Advance, the Sega Dreamcast, The Xbox, the Playstation 1, and the Playstation 2 as all the current active game systems. that is fucking crazy!
for video games. that's the same year we got these games
and Sonic Adventure 2 Battle and Sonic advance and sonic mega collection were released in 2002 along with phantasy star online's gamecube port and super monkey ball 2. and @NerdShamer i'm pointing out again that sonic adventure 2 battle is The First Nintendo Gamecube game to use GBA connectivity. this was before even nintendo themselves released their own games that used it like animal crossing, mario golf toadstool tour, zelda wind waker, zelda four swords adventures, metroid prime, fire emblem path of radiance, pokemon colosseum and xd gale of darkness and the super rare pokemon box. and the third party games like EA's harry potter and lord of the rings games, final fantasy crystal chronicles, and rayman 3.
in fact i found this promotional artwork of sonic with the gamecube and gba, signifying that this was the start of nintendo and sega's partnership.
and since SA2B and Sonic advance and sonic mega collection were released in 2002, thats also the same year we got these games.
man those were great years. I know alot of these games are significantly better than sonic adventure 2 and sonic advance but you all appreciate the years these games that came out, a gold time for the industry and our childhoods.

Ah yes, when Sonic started appearing on Nintendo consoles. And it was all thanks to one brave autistic boy who made his own Nintendo Power comic-
I mean, Sega stabbed themselves so many times there was barely enough blood left to pay Nintendo with.
it's unironically insane to me how many games the general public (NOT GRAPHICS WHORES THAT NEVER TOUCHED A GAME) consider the "good ones" are like starting to hit 2 decades or older at this point. like this isn't even touching the already a few decades old shit like arcade games we're now hitting that point where the "modern era" of games are 2 decades or nearing 2 decades.
Back to SA2 though for a sec I already pointed this out with how it's plotline and cutscenes are kind of presented like a movie's scenes would be which even with the limits of the time from budget and other shit really just shines through. Games these days seem to view being "movie like" as characters having realistic faces with ray tracing and shit but in the same blank lifeless backgrounds with static angles. SA2 though (and a good number of other games fromt he time) understood that movie-like quality a lot better and had dynamic shots, some using actual vacant space as a framing tool if it was in a blank boss arena or something. Metroid prime and Halo, as well as MGS all have that kind of understanding SA2 had as well IMO. Metroid and halo have it sparser than MGS due to being FPS games but there are cutscenes where it goes into a third person movie-like cinematic.
There's this dude called iteachvader on YouTube that has been doing Robotnik/AOSTH poops as recent as last year. He's also good at doing music stuff and has a bunch of links to music tools and SoundFonts of instruments from other games.
He was also very active in the videogame sound ripping community, as I've learned from my time in game modding. A lot of audio dumps from the sound-resource websites are credited to him.

As something of a graphics whore myself I hate AAA slop even more. RTX, DLSS, and other real-time graphics crap make everything look blurry and whitewashed, and put more strain on your machine to boot. [Seriously, I looked at footage of a modern Call of Duty match and everything was so over-saturated I thought it was Fortnite at first.] Hand crafted, pre-rendered graphics and lighting will always look more pleasing to the eye than real-time crap, even at lower resolutions. This is why older games have more immersive environments and more expressive characters.
Probably because the world IS a post-apoc Earth, and these guys found spare clothes from the N word. Funnily enough, the dingoes are accidental villains, as they were second-rate civilians practically enslaved by the not-Jews (aka the Echidna), being dragged along into their inane civil wars, until they snapped and fought back, annihilating the Echidnas' mythical city. Some of the Dingo villains are well-intentioned extremists or psychos pushed to the brink. Their rage is justified as the echidna love unethical experiments, like that time they messed with the genetics of a coyote race until they were increasingly born non-sapient, until the race is all but gone.

The Dark Legion also served as a Nazi stand in. There's one storyline where they run a candidate for an election and he holds a Nazi rally. An echidnazi rally.

He was just being edgy, as seen above. And stealing Kryptonian names. It explains why the Sonic crowd is so unhinged if this Archie comic is the one they grew up with. Even with the overrated Flynn, it's not a good comic, and the last stories went full edgelord mode. Supposedly, the robo-zombie virus was cut, I wonder how they were going to implement it, as by then the heroes were at their lowest.
Would be funny if the second American comic dies to comic drama, again, but chances are the comic IP would be bought by third parties, as it has some value. IDW characters would probably be gutted, though.

If I had to guess, this is gonna be more of a case of the new owners picking and choosing who gets brought on-board the ark before the flood arrives.
Tangle and Whisper are definately gonna be saved cuz they actually have a sizable fanbase that likes them, which I can't say for most of the IDW cast.
Starline's dead, but a new reboot could revive him if the new owners care to do so. The guy was actually smart enough to try and off the heroes then and there, but was repeatedly cucked due to Flynn enforcing the Status Quo, cuz God forbid your comic actually have stakes, Ian...
Nite and Rooster are literal fucking who's who're definately not getting aboard due to being literal fucking who's.
Not-Decoy Octopus is likely to be spared cuz Whisper needs her personal villian to even have a point to her character. However, expect him to be re-written by someone else other than Flynn.
Lanolin may as well have gotten the door to the ark slammed on her face, cuz the Phantom Rider arc destroyed whatever goodwill the fans had with her right as all this comics drama was happening behind the scenes.
There's been several articles about IDW's troubles so I'm holding off from saying that they're done. Very likely they will close their doors in the near future though.

I think they'll keep Surge and Kit. Surge showed up as a character in Sonic Dash, and Kit's closely associated with he, so I'm sure SEGA would bring him along as well.
