Imagine telling your people that they'll have to quit drinking orange juice, but we're totally winning this guys
Anything to stick it to Orange Man Bad, I suppose.
quebec is a good catholic nation that deserves US statehood
No it's not. The Québecois are fucking communists and have a long history of practicing it. Where do you think the cadet branch of the Castro family came from? The aether? Let them freeze on their own.

I really liked Trump's Political Use of the Military there, but I think it was aimed more towards Mexico and the Cartel Princess than Canada and whoever the fuck is after Trudeau.

1:Some part of the armed forces must be moved.
2: It has to be done with a purpose
3: It must be done to gain influence not by imposing their will
4: Must be done to avoid a contest of violence
5: It was done to make the person/country on the receiving end act a certain way.

Nothing screams "Do something about your shit Canada/Mexico" like seeing a group of donkey fuckers get turned into chunky salsa by drone.

1: A drone was sent to blow up a bunch of donkey fuckers
2: To blow up a bunch of donkey fuckers
3: Hey Canada/Mexico we just blew up a bunch of donkey fuckers from half a world away isn't that neat? Wouldn't you rather be my friend than my enemy?
4: Those ISIS fuckheads were half a world away and they're chunky salsa. I don't need to tell you how this would go if we squared up do we?
5: Come to the bargaining table now before it gets to that point

I don't think this video was posted here before. Outright saying that they are targeting red states.

Well, I am seeing something red alright. What the hell is wrong with his face, is it just the lighting?
Canada can't play these games, they have no cards. They're just making it harder for themselves, after all, they are nothing more than our hat, one we can take off and shake a little any time we want.

Weighing in on the incoming Canada-US trade war. Retaliatory tariffs are self-immolation. The entire country seems to be cheering as we walk off the edge of a cliff.

I: Not economically a good idea

1. Tit-for-tat is not game theory optimal in large country vs small country. The US economy is 12.5x the size of Canada's. The default outcome is that the large country bleeds out the small country.

2. In every single classical trade model, tit-for-tat tariffs means the small economy consumers and producers lose much more than the large economy's. The large economy feels less impact due to it being a smaller % of total trade AND it has more domestic producers to substitute from.

3. Canada has the highest household debt in the G7, the worst per capita growth since 2015 in the G7. It's already on the brink of recession. A protracted trade war + money printer won't be a recession, it will be a depression.

Economics aside: Canada is not in a position to retaliate

1. The truth is that Canada has very few allies or economic partners in this. The time to make friends and diversify was years ago, not today. Going into a trade war alone against the 500-lb gorilla is asking to get mauled.

2. Very important: Since we are in uncharted territory, The US has nuclear economic options that we don't even talk about. It can sanction Canadian banks (recall TD was recently fined $3b for laundering drug money), effectively cutting us off from the global money markets. POTUS can issue an EO banning American banks from holding CAD for national security reasons.

Ask any Iranian, Cuban, Russian what it feels like to be cut off from the global system completely by Pax Americana.

Apologize if someone posted this and its kinda late but they post shit like above and wonder why unfavorable opinions of them is up.

You can see the time chart here:
Dems: https://today.yougov.com/topics/politics/trackers/the-democratic-party-favorability
Reps: https://today.yougov.com/topics/politics/trackers/the-republican-party-favorability

If you mess with the filters you can find some interesting/funny stuff, I suggest messing with it yourself.

For Dems:
  • Blacks are the only racial group that still have a favorable view (LOL)
  • Hispanics recently crossed over into higher % unfavorable after dems lost the election (this could lead to a midterm bloodbath for dems)
  • Ind/Dem/Rep all decreased their favorable % after dems lost the election (LOL)
  • Men/Women both unfavorable (LOL), Men more so than women.
  • Pretty much all education levels unfavorable, except post-grad by like 0.2% or something (oof)
  • All age ranges unfavorable
For Reps:
  • Whites the only one favorable, and only by a small amount
  • Hispanics getting ready to cross over into favorable (oof)
  • Blacks/"Other" unfavorable
  • Dem unfavorable went up
  • Independent improving, but still unfavorable
  • Reps happy
  • Men favorable
  • Women unfavorable, but improving very slowly
  • High school/some college slightly favorable
  • College/postgrad unfavorable
  • Pretty much all age groups unfavorable, minus 45-64 which is maybe 0.2% favorable? this one is confusing for me
I was going to try to bold certain key bullet points on the Dems list, but every single one is critical. If the party does not PULL UP, PULL UP, PULL UP, it's going to crash. If they continue this way, they'll only have black people, fags, pooners and troons. And even then, they may be losing the fags.

The United States can probably win some kind of economic trade war of attrition with its neighbors. A potential issue that may arise from this is Canada and Mexico may start distancing themselves even more from the USA and run to a country like a China for aid in some way. The Chinese may also see some kind of opportunity in all of this.

Question, as the Canadian dollar falls to shit, especially when Trudeau starts printing money nonstop to try and pretend he’s a big boy, won’t their weak currency offset some of the cost of the tariffs to the U.S.?
It is a very temporary boon and it will bite him in the ass before he knows it. It is also a sign of weakness, as if he didn't have enough of those already.

A weak currency favors exports while limiting the availability of imports. This is great if you're a country that doesn't need many imports (e.g. China) but it's awful if you're planning on importing anything that isn't sufficiently available locally.

That seems like the perfect excuse to start hammering Canada and Mexico hard as potential security threats.

I mean we have heavy sanctions on Iran yet their economy is still better than cubas economy. Sanctions alone don't destroy an economy economic mismanagement often does.

Iran has oil and someone will always want that. They have plenty of economic mismanagement, but oil can keep a country afloat even when it's a complete clown show. See Venezuela for another example of this.

How Cuba is still alive is a fuckin mystery.

Mostly be mooching off of other countries. The Soviets dumped all kinds of money into them prior to their collapse, mainly because Cuba had strategic military value. Venezuela has been selling them heavily subsidized oil, partly out of communist solidarity, but also because they need Cuban doctors to provide medical care to their citizens. Cubans who fled the country also send back several billion dollars in remittances annually. Canadian tourism is also a major industry for them, or at least was prior to the pandemic.

Otherwise they've just tried to keep repairing equipment they've had since the 50's. They have some top-notch auto mechanics that can fix just about anything, which they have to because it's impossible to replace most things with something new. There are limits to this though and they're having a lot of power failures because their electric plants that were installed decades ago by the Soviets are past the end of their life and can't be maintained much longer.

The government has also given up to some extent on the whole communism thing and is allowing for more privatization of the economy. All of the remittances have also lead to a gradual dollarization of their economy. Some stores there don't even bother listing prices in Cuban pesos any more apparently and the government just ignores them because it's better than starving peasants revolting. They have to import a lot of their food and that will be the eventual downfall of the government there.

I don't think people realize how truly pathetic Canada is. I don't want to just double post what was already said in the other thread.
But basically New York state has a bigger GDP then all of Canada combined. There main imports from the USA are FOOD and refined petro.
Their main EXPORT to the USA is crude oil that we can get from anywhere in the world, or ourselves.

This "trade war" would be like a bunch of Somali pirates in a janky speedboat attacking a Nimitz class aircraft carrier.
