I don't have any issues with Canadians wanting Canada First policies. I do in fact have problems with the specifics of what that might entail.

Based on what I'm reading, there are very apparent problems. Polievre seems to think that Canada First means 50% of what the people want in improving the Candian economy by un-fucking the top-down restrictions from Trudeau's tyranny on trade and commodities (specifically oil), and then 50% gargling what comes out of the end of Lib-Dem's dicks.

I'm just saying, having a "Canada First" ally would be great. If only we didn't have to smell the maple syrup and cum on his breath when dealing with him.

Poilievre isn't retarded the Canadian electorate is. A lot of the Canadian national identity is wrapped up in being a sort of anti-America. They pass irrelevant gun control laws after a mass shooting just to reaffirm that they (unlike those ignorant yanks) can do so. Trump is not well liked in Canada and a trade war isn't going to win him any new friends. Outside of a couple provinces the conservatives have to at least make a show of rallying around the flag or they'll start bleeding support.

The problem is, using Canada as an example the United States is by far Canada's biggest trading partner and it's not even close.

China would have to do a lot to make up the export deficit and I don't think Canada sells anything the Chinese really want

Mexico's GDP is lower than both Alabama and West Virginia aka our shithole states.

Canada's economy is fairly substantial but still fucking tiny compared to ours, they're also heavily heavily dependent on us for energy and metals imports.

Calling it a war is a bit generous. Blumpf was right to call their bluff, they won't last long.
