Military Equipment Sperging Thread - The Tiger II is a better tank than the M1 Abrams edition

I've seen stuff on the J-36 (the big trijet) and J-50. It's the chink NGAD.

The big bitch J-36 is probably something like a F-111. 3 engines, big weapons bays, probably some type of fighter bomber. The J-50 is clearly a fighter.

It should be interesting to see how it actually fares in a genuine high-intensity air campaign. PLAAF has been modernizing itself very hard over the past 25 years and there's reason to believe such efforts have born fruit.

The planes aren't the issue, it's the pilots. Haven't fought a real war since Nam. Actual air combat experience in the force is low. These new planes are going to have to do a lot of the heavy lifting

That goes for basically everyone though, the real question is their training culture. Have they kept up that knowledge and been diligent about ensuring that new pilots continue to carry on these lessons and skills or have they done the Chinese thing and just said "CHINE NUMBAH WAN!" and trusted in their woo woo tai-chi spirit to carry the day?

I mean this is China man. It could go either way tbh.

I love the Sergant Stout Stryker SHORAD variant man. Just look at this monster:

30mm, 7.62mg, 4 Stinger missiles, and two Hellfires (that seem to be getting replaced with more stingers, we'll see). It's nice seeing the US Army actually invest in air defense again. This thing can kill drones and anything low flying, which is based.

If you want to hate the Stryker just talk to literally anybody who has ever crewed one. Also be sure to walk up to them and be like "WOAH IS THAT A TANK?" just to watch the veins in their necks pop out.

I just love it because its literally the Mako from Mass Effect.

Ditto bro. I like the BTR for the same reason. IFVs with big chunky wheels look so much cooler than IFVs with tracks. But one of my IRL buddies was Stryker crew and so I need to take shots at him and his armored shitbox.

The wheels just scream future, and you can go faster than with tracks. It's badass. Now how well the actual vehicle is, I don't know. I've heard the Stryker is survivable with the double V hull mine protection, but I've never sat in one and rolled over a mine to test that lmao. I'll trust your buddy on that. I just like how the Army literally has a variant for everything and it's also the fucking Mako.

He hated the Styker. Giant shitbox where everything was always broken. But according to him it's really good at running people over so at least there's that.

I do know VERY EARLY ON the Stryker lacked AC, and when deployed to Desert Storm, the crew had to use water filled cooling jackets to not overheat. The Stryker has had nothing short of a troubled development cycle. It's gotten upgraded and fixed a lot. Your buddy was probably in the middle of that. And lol at the running people over comment.

Nah he was Iraq/Afghanistan, 09-16 or something like that, can't remember exactly. His big issue was more to do with mechanics and grunts being fucking retarded though since he was infantry and the Strykers were the battle busses they were assigned to.

He wasn't joking about running people over either, according to him his company had more kills with the wheels than the guns.

It's early issues were things like wonky rear ramp hydraulics and the like.

Every military vehicle heavier than a Chevy Tahoe is abused to death and not maintained properly by the grunts.

EVERYTHING. Humvee, abused to DEATH.

Stryker, M113, Bradley, M1, HEMMT, JLTV, ABY TRUCK. All treated like utter shit and then grunts bitch and moan about it being "broken" while they were too busy jerking off or trying to fuck the 1-3 women in the platoon instead of DOING THE FUCKING MAINTENANCE.

Heavier wheeled or tracked vehicles absolutely need more maintenance than a civilian car or truck. The water through brakes, shocks, struts and every suspension component fast not to mention tires and wheels.
