It's like smallpox, but worse. Spreads by unprotected anal sex due to rectal tearing causing infected fluids to mingle, a lot like AIDS, and it originated in Central Africa, also a lot like AIDS.

Edit: now that's not to say it can't spread in other ways, but I'm 99% sure it always spreads due to contact with infected bodily fluids, particularly blood.

In this case that felony being the making of and distribution of child pornography, as tracing or otherwise utilizing real children for reproduction of otherwise "legal" fantasy pornography is explicitly illegal.
