The original series to use the term 'analog horror' instead of 'found footage' (or at least, one of the first) happens to be Local58, as the series' tagline used to be 'ANALOG HORROR AT 476MHz' for a while. As far as I can tell, before that point the term wasn't really in use, if at all. EAS Scenarios, the main precursor to the genre (other than a handful of older ARGs such as The Wyoming Incident) definitely didn't call themselves analog horror until after the genre kicked off, for example.
