African-American Appreciation Thread - Highlighting contributions from our most productive citizens

WEB Du Bois is the reason for modern Niggers today - from "we are good bois who dindunuffin" to "gimme gibs", these are all things he pioneered and why we are where we are now.

Any opinion on black celebs who want to be white like her?

Should we praise her for realizing it's not good to be nig, or do we mock her for trying to race change?

View attachment 6943255

What do you call race changers anyway? Would-be sex changers are called trannies (or their Sunday name, transgender), so what is the term for skin whitening to try not to look nig?
I sent a similar picture that compared her 90s look to today to an ex-friend a while back. According to this jungle fever haver and current tranny, it's pressure from Hollywood and racist western standards that hold whiteness as the pinnacle of beauty that forced this black kween to bleach herself.

He didn't have an excuse for why Sammy Sosa bleached himself though, or any of thebother black celebs who have mysteriously gotten whiter over the years.

But it's particularly strange with Beyonce considering her retarded black excellence shit she loves pushing. You'd think she'd be trying to get as dark as possible.

Lol both of you, tell me you're well over 50 without telling me you're well over 50.

Yeah... IDK about that. Watching the weather channel? Your PFP has legendary actors from films made the 40's? Knowing the characters by name from Fresh Prince? Kinda sus my guy. Rick The Stick just gives me this odd cranky old man vibe, like he owns a Electra Glide with very low miles and yells at kids who walk to close to his lawn.
When I turn 50, I'm going to retire with my 401k and spend my days watching archives of The Weather Channel and collecting old movies while reminiscing about my dear friend, @Troon_Patrol, about the state of African-Americans in the United States.

Sounds comfy, and similar to my own plans for life. I've been hooked on TCM and classic cinema since I was a kid. I still have almost a decade until I hit 50. These fools simply don't understand the simple joy of watching wholesome Lee Marvin or Doris Day movies with their parents and grandparents.

Don't mind the uncultured swine, bro. Poor, simple bastards.

You may find it hard to believe, but I love African-American music. Not just rap, but R&B, jazz and hip-hop. My unpopular hot take is that Black people can make better music than their White counterparts.
It's not hard to believe at all considering black music has always been made for the absolute lowest common denominator. Everyone likes black music, although whites have always improved on it and made it better.

I'm really glad you enjoy trumpet negros and jazz cats but personally I wish blacks would invest the energy in raising they keeeds.

I've been doin a lot of reggae, lately. I've been enjoying the hell out of Stick Figure, but they ain't very dark, lol. I'm not going to agree. Seems kinda ignorant, but then hot takes always are.

I'm not going to be one of those people that gatekeep the origin music based on ethnicity. I find that ignorant and devalues the cultural importance of music as a whole. Music is human expression composed of beats, lyrics, and dance. Everybody is inspired from one source or another.

Wasn't quite sure what you meant, so thanks for the clarification. Well said. I feel like the best art is made by artists who care about their art, skin color has little to do with it, though culture obviously does. But if an Mongolian Throat Singer decide to change up the genres and makes a banger bluegrass or R&B or whatever track, I see no problem enjoying it. "Outsider art" can be fantastic.

Reggae itself found its roots from Jamaica's independence from Britain. I've only found out about reggae from the GTA series.

>this person knows about an extremely popular show that was re-ran constantly up into the 2000s
>must he 50

Just how retarded are you?

Lol. WTF you doing watching reruns of Fresh Prince? That show was canceled 30 years ago.

Oh I am extremely retarded. This is why people think you're a cranky old man. @The Last Stand , took the joke like gentleman. You're not exactly lending convincing me otherwise handling it this badly. You don't spray the neighbor kids with the hose if they get too close to the lawn/Electra Glide do they? That's kinda mean for this time of year.

On topic....
I never got into Reggae, I listened to Bob Marley like everyone else did for 5 mins and then I just started to find him and the entire genre overrated. Not to mention I find people into Reggae to be the kind of people who smoke dope all day and never clean their apartment. There are about 5 rap/ R&B songs I could say I actually "like". From a purely artistic point of view I can respect NWA for bringing the genre to popularity but I think they were overrated. Not as bad as GG Alin or Gwar but the same concept, more about image than talent.

Rap/R&B just became indistinguishable and repetitive, they just hit the wall when it came to creativity decades ago. It's never been more about the image/personality than the actual talent. It couldn't' have been more obvious it was going that direction when 50 Cent's "hook" was shot 9 times or something? I knew a guy who was shot 6 times with a .38 or a 9mm 3-4 of the slugs were still in him IIRC; he was not walking around fine and barely noticeable like 50 Cent. Made me question his whole personality as marketing and a studio written/produced/edited music. When he started getting cast in TV/movies his fucking acting was so horrible it just about ruined every film they put him in for me.

Edit to add: for comparison, here's an octopus

Now to Be fair, those look like literal tribals who haven't seen anything modern ever.

You could go to the Amazon and do the same with those tribals and probably get the same results

Which now wants me to see a man do exactly that

You are not the first person that thinks I'm over 50. I think it's my interests. I grew up listening to 70s-90s R&B, Black music. Barry White, The Isley Brothers, Earth, Wind & Fire, New Edition to name a few. When you spend time with your grandma, you tend to pick up music tastes whether you want to or not.

couldn't' have been more obvious it was going that direction when 50 Cent's "hook" was shot 9 times or something?

I heard he pioneered "trap music" with his hit song, Heat. I think Eminem found 50 Cent.

>why are you watching a show that isn't currently on TV?
is on the same level of normalfag nigger "this thing needs to be advertised and sold to me at this very moment before i can consume it" thinking as
>why are you listening to music that isn't current top 40s?
>why are you using seasoning that isn't in a jar on a shelf from a supermarket?
