A friend told me about this over the weekend, since one of his friends works for EPA or whatever and acted like its a big deal. You get an 8 month warning for getting fired and full pay until that day, if you are unable to find a job in that time, I am sorry but you might be a massive retard. If you wanna stay a federal employee, you can always go to one of those federal work programs for blind people that produce prison toilet paper or whatever....

They are getting paid for producing the same amount of value for society they were producing before but now without having to work, I don't get why they would complain.
