It's probably the latter. From what my younger family members tell me it sounds like rote memorization of what's been written in a big textbook is like 99% of history class nowadays. That works alright for short-term memory but when you stop needing to take tests those details will gradually slip from your mind entirely.

I'm not even that old and when I was going to school they had us participate in class activities that made a lot of world history unforgettable to me. They gotta start doing that again and cut the self study sink or swim shit.

I'm glad I went to school when you could still have shooting clubs and such. Where history was ususally taught by people who lived through some of the events. Learning about Vietnam from a Vet was pretty eye opening.

Obama passed an "Anti-Propaganda" bill that specifically funded goyslop lefty media. It's why in 20...19? When the funding ran out you saw massive layoffs in lefty media. Even gaming journos were hit.

Obama literally had the government funding lefty propaganda outlets explaining to us why we have to destroy ourselves to make up for our original sin of being superior to everyone else. It was hilarious.

I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that USAID was doing something similar, especially after Trump refused to reinstate the "Anti-Propaganda" money in 2019. To my knowledge Biden never pushed it, and they didn't get it pushed in an amendment to another pork megabill, either (although IIRC they very actively tried in 2019).

The education system in America is deeply flawed and this goes for all subjects. Math for example doesn’t provide any real world examples when it comes to the teaching process. I use multiplication daily for my job, and teaching children why this specific profession might need these specific formulas would be helpful for memorization, yet it’s not taught to them this way. Remove the real world application and to the kids you’re just teaching them a bunch of useless nonsense.

You know what, here’s a good way to make learning fun. Wanna teach kids about physics? Teach them all about how a sniper rifle has to be positioned due to various factors like gravity and a windy day. No male will be falling asleep in that class. Fuck, even add a little history lesson into it with the attempted trump assassination and how NOT to shoot a rifle.
