Imagine as it were a strange scenario where a man attempts to ensure that a person is able to be housed because they couldn't stand the thought of them being homeless right before Christmas because they had a seasonal rental with them. They wanted them to be able to access their three kids because of a separate local court case requiring local residency, which is costly in their area, and they had met their children and thought they were very sweet and deserved time with their mother. They paid thousands for a legal case against their father to defend them. They bought everything as able, including a 5,000 dollar trailer just to have private space.
They made a mistake. They would apologize, but there is no way to do so. They were not lying about their care for this person. And now a large number of people consider them a horrible person. How sad it must be for them that they cannot tell the full story.
Are they fucked up and messy? Yes.
Do they make mistakes? Yes.
Are they dubiously sane? Yes.
That does not mean they do not care, and they would not lash out at their ex even if antagonized. If their ex attacked them they would even refuse to defend themselves.
Odd days.
