The average consumer doesn't dig past the surface level and I was asked at work if I enjoy KC2 and I said I didn't buy it and explained why. After reading this thread the past 2 weeks, the sequel reads like more of a reboot than a continuation, imo.

Which is bizarre as Kingdom Come was originally meant to be a three parter or something and apparently KC1 was so big with the DLC that it eventually became parts 1 and 2.

So for part 3 to be a reboot for no fucking reason makes no sense unless the 'elaborate story' was some bullshit like Shenmue where even the developer doesn't have a fucking clue so he's trying to get funding to keep making games with copout cliffhanger endings.

I think I just broke the Trosky castle mission. After I healed the captain (by murdering most of the castle guards while stealing all of the lords belongings instead of sneaking like the game clearly intended) I was told to go to the stable boy to get a horse, but the guards are hostile now. I also broke the previous wedding mission by making the guards in the semine estate hostile for some reason. They chased me around after the cutscene ended and then an unrelated cinematic of a mass brawl started playing. I have no idea why Henry got arrested canonically but my Henry dindu nuffin.

Vavra is a lying jew fucker for sure. But people are crazy if they think KCD is as bad as the rest of the slop around. Writing isn't great, and it does suffer from slav writing where the dialogue feels a bit weird. But like...has anyone played the slop that's out right now? It does shit in Henry's mouth a lot though, which isn't great. I've been watching my flatmate play it and I reckon that the writers - and overall game designers - didn't want to take any risks. It seems to be following the same beats as the first game but with less of the novelty of the first game.
