We all know what social pressure does within a peer-group. Would annihiliating corporate-funded speech correct the course or, as you say, a severe smack would be required?

Trump did say in his pre election videos that he is going to order some sort of digital bill or rights. I assume this coming down the pipeline in the next few months or year. Sorting out internet free speech is a promise of his.

The DOD spending will probably prove much much much bigger than all the USAIDS stuff, considering most of your money goes there (50B of USAID vs about 850B of DOD, to compare annual budgets). and they can't even pass their own rigged buddy buddy audits, having failed 7 annual ones in a row now.
